Taylor Swift is about to kick off her Red tour.

But first she took care of some even more important business in Omaha, Nebraska.

As documented by The Omaha World-Herald, the singer spent time this week with a 10-year old cancer patient named Lauren Hacker.

She’s a fifth grader who suffers from acute myelocytic leukemia and the get-together was arranged via a YouTube message to Swift created by Hacker’s family.

Lauren’s father blogged that Swift spent about an hour with his daughter, with Lauren even playing a song on the electric piano for her idol.

It was a lovely gesture, and it was not the first time Taylor made it in 2013. Swift also visited a cancer-stricken young fan in January.

Her tour, meanwhile, kicks off tomorrow Omaha and will be making pit stops in 47 North American cities before coming to an end on September 21 in Nashville.
