It’s beloved by critics and by fans. It’s broken multiple box office records. And, gosh darn it, the film made most of the THG staff cry.

But does that mean Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards?

The Oscars has changed its nomination policy over the last few years; first expanding from five Best Picture nominees to 10; and now not setting a quota for the category.
