Great news: Star Wars is finally coming to Blu-Ray next month.
Bad news: Episode I and effing Jar Jar Binks will be included in the release, and odds are George Lucas will not have removed some of the additional scenes he added to the early films to their detriment. Han shot first, George. Han shot first.
Anyway, the Blu-Ray set does look awesome. Here’s the trailer:
Over 40 hours of bonus features (such as deleted scenes) will be included, according to Movie Fanatic, along with the option to purchase only Episodes IV-VI.
You know, if you really can’t stand Binks. Or an entire film about Darth Vader being a cute kid once. Or Hayden Christensen delivering seriously awful dialogue.
