Bristol Palin’s baby daddy is chiming in on her mom’s recent resignation.

Levi Johnston says that when he lived with Bristol and her mom, Sarah Palin, he heard the Alaska Governor say several times say how nice it would be to take advantage of lucrative deals being offered to her, like a reality show and book deal.

“She had talked about how nice it would be to take some of this money people had been offering, and you know, just run with it, say ‘forget everything else,'” he said.

Levi said he thinks book deals were really what appealed to Sarah Palin.

“I think the big deal was the book. Millions of dollars,” said Levi, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.

Compensation details of Palin’s book projects haven’t been disclosed.

Johnston came forward, according to his attorney, Rex Butler, because people in Alaska want to know why Palin decided to resign, effective the end of July.

Asked if he would vote for her if she ran for president, Johnston said: “I think she’s a great lady, but after seeing what she did now, I would have to say no.”

“Obviously she’s stressed out as governor. Moving up to the vice president or president is huge. I just don’t think anymore that she’s cut out for the job.”

Palin family spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton shot back at Levi, who is pursuing his own career opportunities these days, with a statement: “It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills.”

Hilarious and intelligent stuff, as always, Meghan Stapleton. Way to engage and give credence to a teenager who knocked up your client’s daughter.
