Britney Spears’ long-awaited comeback single, “Gimme More,” has arrived, and Jive records says her full album is set for a November 13 release.
The club-friendly dance track officially premiered Thursday night on New York radio station Z-100. Versions were also leaked to Perez Hilton and TMZ.
“The track that leaked off Britney Spears‘ new album is ‘Gimme More,’ produced by Danja, and written by Nathaniel “Danjahands” Hills, James Washington, Keri Hilson and Marcella Araica,” a Jive spokesperson told People magazine Friday.
The song features the pop star’s signature breathy “vocals,” a driving beat and a catchy hook. Spears opens the sexy and sassy tune by defiantly saying, “It’s Britney, b!tch” and producer Hills ends it in a shout out, saying, “Bet you didn’t see this coming.”
Wow, you guys are so hard. You know what we did see coming, though? Those pics of Britney with no underwear. $h!t is gettin’ old.
News of the single’s imminent release was reported by Entertainment Weekly. Follow this link for links to leaked versions of two of new Britney songs.
Also last week, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, who wrote several songs for Spears, told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that she’s gotta regain focus.
“Britney has gotta remind people why they love her in the first place. She’s gotta get their minds off her personal life and back on the music,” Ne-Yo said, yo.
Over the last few months, Spears’ personal problems, including a stint in rehab, flings with random ass dudes like Matt Encinias and the ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline have overshadowed her quote unquote career.
In an effort to promote her new stuff, Britney Spears went to Las Vegas to host the opening of LAX Nightclub at the Luxor Casino over the weekend. Hot!
The pop “star” arrived in Vegas and strutted down the red carpet wearing a cute, white baby doll dress – and a wig that looked sewn into the seams of her hat.
Once inside, the host with the most (fake hair) grabbed the mic to much applause – and gave a measly, two sentence introduction. As DJ AM spun records and the crowd partied feverishly, Britney was onstage dancing her heart out … from her seat.
Littering the VIP section were heiress Nicky Hilton, That ’70s Show alumnus and man whore Wilmer Valderrama, and “Mindfreak” of the week Criss Angel. No word on whether any or all of those individuals slept with Britney after the show.
