After watching his ex-wife, Britney Spears, go through an epic meltdown, Kevin Federline insisted he wanted to stay out of the press.
But now, the Super Bowl commercial star is asking for tabloid coverage, and he wants big bucks in return (of course).
Insiders say Kevin Federline has been asking the weeklies for $25,000 in exchange for the right to cover his hottt 29th birthday at Eleven nightclub in West Hollywood.
“The celebrity magazine will get its logo on the red carpet and exclusive coverage inside the club,” said a source close to the matter.
“But who cares? Everyone will have access to the red carpet. And there aren’t even any big celebs confirmed for inside the party.”
But will Shar Jackson? She doesn’t qualify as big.
Anyway, to make matters worse, sources also report that whichever publication coughs up the cash “won’t even get a real interview with K-Fed.”
The Eleven club sent out a release announcing the “intimate cocktail and dinner party with celebrity friends” on March 21. A rep for Federline confirmed the party, but had no comment.
Kevin’s not all bad, though. He’s a putz sometimes, absolutely – but a man can be a self-promoting punk and still be a decent person. We’re not talking Brandon Davis style worthlessness here.
Federline visited Britney Spears in rehab Wednesday, and was instrumental in getting her there in the first place. He’s also been a good dad to Jayden James and Sean Preston throughout the ordeal.
