Hey, Mel Gibson, you’re not alone!
Okay, you might be alone when it comes to driving while intoxicated, hating on Jews, homosexuals and bragging about how close you are to cops across California.
But another high profile actor is also battling alcohol demons. Robin Williams is seeking treatment for his disease, publicist Mara Buxbaum said Wednesday.
The 55-year-old comedian had been sober for 20 years. According to a statement, Williams “found himself drinking again and has decided to take proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family. He looks forward to returning to work this fall to support his upcoming film releases.”
Those would include Williams Man of the Year due in October, and the voice of an animated penguin in Happy Feet, slated for release in November.
The funny man, of course, hasn’t avoided arrests twice before for drunk driving, nor is there a giant (s)mug shot of him plastered all over the Net. Therefore, we wish him nothing but the best.
