What the heck happened between Jordan and Aaron Rodgers

Bachelorette and NFL fans alike are asking that very question following Monday’s episode of the ABC show, when their feud was front and center.

Their feud … or estrangement. It’s still not entirely clear.

To backtrack: Jordan Rodgers is the frontrunner for JoJo Fletcher’s love on The Bachelorette, and has been under scrutiny from day one.

He’s been called out as an opportunist by The Bachelorette spoilers, as a cheater by Brittany Farrar, and entitled by his fellow suitors.

And that’s before we even got to his family drama!

While he clearly doesn’t like to talk about it or offer much in the way of details, he can’t deny the fact that he and Aaron are not close.

Aaron Rodgers, Jordan’s brother and quarterback of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers, has been a focal point of The Bachelorette for two weeks.

All without appearing on it. Even in photos.

"Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship," Jordan said, throwing his older sibling under the bus in as many words.

"It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life, and I chose to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother."

So what happened?

Sources tell ET that Aaron, 32, has, as Jordan awkwardly implied, been estranged from his entire family for years for unknown reasons.

"The entire situation is painful for the family," a source close to them says, while Aaron’s girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, also alluded to it.

In May while she was promoting X-Men: Apocalypse, she said, "Aaron doesn’t really … I don’t think he’s really talked with his brother."

Olivia was asked about Jordan appearing on this season’s The Bachelorette, and whether Aaron knew about it, and it was uncomfortable.

"So, I actually don’t know," she added.

"It’s complicated … I’ll say that."

Tellingly, Jordan’s Instagram doesn’t have any photos of Aaron, though there are lots of shots of their older brother, Luke, and their parents.

The foursome appear happy together, and this week’s episode felt like a public offering of an olive branch to the star who shuns them.

How will it end? Will it get worse before it gets better if Jordan Rodgers wins the final rose and is scrutinized even more than he is now?

Stay tuned and buckle up.
