Tameka Foster is the wife of Usher. She's also the mother of two of his children - and the enemy of most Usher fans. They don't think...

Tameka Raymond was a guest today on Good Morning America, taking time to explain her side of the recent custody battle with Usher.

The 42-year old told Dan Abrams that she never blamed Usher for the pool accident that nearly took the couple's son, but was "just angry that it happened on his watch. Never have my children been injured on my watch."

Hours of emotional testimony in the custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife today resulted in the singer keeping primary custody of the former couple's two sons.

As previously reported, five-year old Usher Raymond V nearly drowned on Monday and remains in the ICU under doctor's care, though all accounts say the boy will recover fully.

In response to the incident, Tameka Raymond was granted an emergency hearing in which she argued that Usher is a negligent father who too often leaves the children under someone else's supervision.

A day after Usher released a statement and thanked the heroes who rushed to his son's side after the five-year old nearly drowned on Monday, Tameka Raymond has posted a photo of little Usher Raymond V on Instagram.

The singer's ex-wife is cradling her child in the image and included with it a caption that reads:

"My favorite 5-year-old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident."

It's a sweet sentiment and message... but it's hard not to also see those words as a veiled attack on Usher, considering Tameka is taking him to court and fighting to regain custody of her kids.

The accident involving Usher's son this week has gone from sad to scandalous.

On Monday, five-year old Usher Raymond V nearly drowned when he got his arm stuck in a drain.

But a contractor dove in to save the child and performed CPR before medics arrived. They described the boy as “conscious, alert and breathing” at the scene. He was then transported to the ICU.

In the wake of this incident, Tameka Raymond filed new legal documents that requested a custody hearing on the grounds that Usher has been leaving their kids in the care of an irresponsible aunt - and multiple outlets now confirm a judge has granted said hearing.

It is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. EST.

Tameka Foster is using a near tragedy to re-escalate her feud with Usher.

Following an incident yesterday in which the ex-couple's son was stuck under water for minutes - while being watched by his aunt - Foster has filed legal documents in Fulton County, Georgia.

She is requesting an emergency hearing in order to argue for custody of the pair's children on the grounds that Usher continually leaves them in a dangerous environment.

In this case, Usher Raymond V went to retrieve a toy from the pool drain when his arm got caught.

They may be done fighting in court, but the battle for public opinion is only just starting for Usher and Tameka Foster.

Not long after the singer sat with Oprah and labeled his ex-wife's accusations against him an "attack," Foster explained to Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell last night that she needs to "clear a few things up."

Usher finally has primary custody of his children, and he's finally opening up about his three-year battle with Tameka Foster to achieve that status.

"This will be the only time that I've ever chosen to speak about it. I've been a man of integrity throughout the entire process, which I hope my boys will understand," the singer said last night on Oprah Next Chapter. "That's the way to go. That's the way to be."

So, what did the well-sculpted artist reveal?

He wasn't prepared for marriage in 2007: "I wanted to give her the wedding that she wanted. But I wasn't quite ready. I impregnated this woman, we were in a relationship, we were in love... I was taking responsibility."

The union started to fall apart once Usher V was born: "After that, I did get a great sense of the insecurities that were there and the fact that she wasn't coping well with being in this position, being married to Usher, and all that came with that."

A judge may have ruled, but the legal battle between Usher and Tameka Foster appears to have no end in sight.

Late last month, the singer won primary custody of the two children he shares with Foster, only for his ex-wife to appeal the decision on the grounds that the judge was biased because Usher raised funds for his campaign in 2008.

And now Usher has filed a motion in response to that appeal.

In documents submitted last Wednesday, the artist urges the court to deny Foster's request because it is "an assault on the integrity of the court."

He argues that the granting of a new custody trial would create a slippery slope in which all decisions could be a reversed if an attorney contributed to a judge's campaign.

Usher alleges that Foster's legal maneuvering "constitutes a continuum of [Tameka's] vile and unsupported claims that every person who dared testify against her ... is biased and tainted."

No word from the judge regarding either filing yet, but we have a feeling we have not heard the last from either of these parties. Not by a long shot.
