Daniel Radcliffe Defends Gay Marriage: It's About Equality!
Miley Cyrus has a famous friend in her fight for marriage equality.
In the latest issue of Attitude UK, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe comments on a number of societal issues, from the rise in teen suicide ("You used to be able to escape at the end of a day: now you can be hunted by mobile phone, Facebook, Twitter. It’s terrifying.") to his feelings on gay marriage.
“The ultimate reason gay marriage should be legalized everywhere is because, as a kid, you look to your mum and dad and they’re married; then you look at the gay couple who’ve been together for the same amount of time, but because they can’t get married their relationship doesn’t seem the same," the actor says, adding:
"Yes, gay marriage is about symbolically blessing a relationship, but the larger issue is about transmitting a fundamental message about equality. Gay people should have equality in law everywhere.”
Radcliffe is currently starring in The Woman in Black. What do you think of his stance on marriage?
Daniel Radcliffe: Pro Pubic Hair!
Near the end of the final Harry Potter film, we see Daniel Radcliffe in makeup and prosthetics, signaling that the character has aged dramatically.
In real life, however, the actor needs no such accompaniments to prove he's not a kid anymore. Just consider what he recently told Heat Magazine.
Asked about getting naked on stage in 2007 for Broadway's Equus, Radcliffe said about the fuss regarding his ample pubic hair:
"I was like, 'Yeah, of course I do!' I'm a Jewish man! We have hair down there."
The actor added that there's "not a huge amount of maintenance going on" in his genital region, while also saying that's how he prefers it on the opposite sex:
"This is way too much information, but I don't like girls with nothing down there either. It freaks me out. You have to have something, otherwise it's f-cking creepy."
Is it weird to hear Harry Potter's take on waxing? Yes. But there's good news, too: this means he'll never date Kim Kardashian.

Daniel Radcliffe Defends Lana Del Rey SNL Performance
Harry Potter isn't exactly a superhero, but he's come to the rescue of Lana Del Rey.
The singer has been torn to shreds since her debut Saturday Night Live performance (below), as numerous critics have pointed to her mumbling and awkward demeanor as clear signs this artist is not ready for primetime.
But Daniel Radcliffe, who hosted the SNL episode in question, told the British press this week "it was unfortunate that people seemed to turn on her so quickly," adding:
“I also think people are making it about things other than the performance. If you read what people are saying about her online, it’s all about her past and her family and stuff that’s nobody else’s business.”
It should be interesting to see how sales go for Lana’s debut album, "Born to Die," which comes out on January 31.
Daniel Radcliffe Gushes Over Girlfriend
Having killed Voldemort, Harry Potter is ready for the next big step in life: marriage.
Asked in the latest issue of Parade, if he could see himself getting hitched, Daniel Radcliffe didn't hesitate:
"Yes, absolutely," the actor replied. "When growing up, I thought of marriage as being very official, drawing up a contract. It seemed slightly clinical to me. But then you meet somebody that you really love and you think, 'Actually, I wouldn’t mind standing up in front of my friends and family and telling them how much I love you and that I want to be with you forever.'"
Pick up the new issue of Parade for more insight into Daniel Radcliffe.
And Radcliffe isn't talking in the abstract. He's been dating Rosie Coker, a production assistant on the final Harry Potter movie, for awhile now.
"When Rosie’s here, every day seems better," he gushes. "I’m not an easy person to love... I’m a mess around the house. I talk nonstop. I become obsessed with things. This year it’s fantasy football, which means Rosie has to listen to me talking 24 hours a day about this team. 'Should I take this player out, do you think, darling?' And she listens to it, and she loves me for my oddness, my awkwardness, all of those things that I hate about myself. She finds them cute. I guess that’s love."
Daniel Radcliffe to Host Saturday Night Live
Daniel Radcliffe is set to make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live January 14, NBC has announced. Lana Del Rey will serve as musical guest that week.
With the conclusion of the epic Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe cemented his status as one of the most talented and original performers of his generation.
He's looking forward to more weighty projects in the future, however (see The Woman in Black trailer) and we have no doubt he'll continue to thrive.
Charles Barkley will host SNL January 7.

The Woman in Black Movie Trailer: Harry Potter Who?!?
It's safe to say that Daniel Radcliffe has officially graduated from Hogwarts.
The actor will next star in The Woman in Black, which is set for a February 3 premiere date and whose just-released trailer is scarier than any spell Voldemort ever whipped up.
The horror movie is based on a 1983 novel and features Radcliffe as an attorney named Arthur Kipps. Watch below as he visits a home in a remote section of England in order to settle the affairs of its late owner, only to be haunted by a ghost and by the death of children every time the apparition appears. Watch with the lights on, readers...
Rosanne Coker: Dating Daniel Radcliffe!
We've finally identified the woman who has cast a spell on Daniel Radcliffe.

Are things serious between the pair? Radcliffe hopes so. He told Larry King in July: "I am very much in love."

Daniel Radcliffe Admits to Alcohol Problem
In Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe uses various spells to thwart Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
While filming this franchise, though, the young actor recently admitted he relied on a different kind of foreign entity: alcohol.
"I became so reliant on alcohol to enjoy stuff," Radcliffe says in the latest issue of GQ UK. "There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that really isn't suited to me."
Radcliffe adds that he's lucky the paparazzi never caught him in a compromising, wasted position - and that he's enjoying his new, sober life.
"As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn't work for me. I'm actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I'm really pleasant and I'm not f--king up totally all the time. There's no shame in enjoying the quiet life. And that's been the realization of the past few years for me."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - previewed HERE - hits theaters on July 15.
