Adam Lambert is a contestant on the eighth season of American Idol. He made it to the final two on the show, only to lose out to Kris Allen in the finals.
This musician got started at an early age, as his father was a DJ that introduced him to various types of music. He sang Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody for his audition and has spent time in a production of the play Wicked.
For his semifinal audition, Lambert wowed viewers with his range on The Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction." He then received raves for his performance of "Black and White" on Michael Jackson night. We could go on and on, as season eight was filled with nothing but praise for this unique, talented star.
In June 2009, Adam officially came out of the closet: he's dating a man named Drake LaBry. Lambert handled the issue of his sexuality with class and candor throughout the American Idol season.
Lambert's debut album comes out on November 24, 2009. We're gonna purchase a dozen copies of it.

I LOVE Adam. I grew up in theatre with him in San Diego Childrens' Theatre and even when he was 9 he was amazing. He's full of tallent and personality and has never NOT amazed me. I wish him luck and know he will continue to amaze audiences he has since he was a little boy.

Ok, sorry, but i'm not getting the whole "theatrical" comment. From what I could tell, Adam just stood there and sang the song, showing some emotion in his face.
So THAT is "theatrical"?, to show any emotion? Huh? I think what Simon means by "theatrical" is "hey dude, I think you might be gay". He is SUCH a homohobe (I'm straight and even I notice this).
Adam can sing ballads, he can blast heavy metal. I'm sure he could even do some emo if you asked him nice. he is odds on favorite to win Idolat this point - perhaps best pure singer ever on that show.

He is clearly the best male singer in the competition, and I think he is amazing. Simon called him theatrical because he listed theatre accomplishments on his audition form. Screw Simon!

Adam is my new David Cook! Does he remind anyone else of David? Even his mouth and facial expressions. And the boots...LOL! But he is a hottie with a lot of talent. He's been my projected winner from the beginning!

I love Adams voice and talent. I love his outfits and everything about him,Except the "Boy George" look. Save the makeup for the theatre.He has agreat face and eyes,show them. I have to agree with Siimon on this one.

He's really does look like David Cook...I noticed it the first time I saw him. And the way he sings reminds me of David too.
