Lance Bass Gossip

Pedro Andrade and Lance Bass Say Bye, Bye Bye

Pedro Andrade Pic Here's the bad news: Pedro Andrade and Lance Bass have called it quits.

Here's the good news: The break-up has allowed us to use that witty *NSYNC pun in the headline above.

So it's basically a wash of celebrity gossip.

The couple may have dated for just two months, but our offices were flooded with hate mail regarding Andrade. You'd think he was Simon Monjack or Tameka Foster, as fans wrote in to warn Bass about Pedro's supposed past as a male escort.

But that may have been what drove the singer to the model in the first place. It's hard to say.

Either way, we wish each half of this former couple nothing but the best.

In other sort of gay dating news: How insane is Anne Heche?!?

  • On hand to help friend Justin Timberlake, who was hosting the opening of his N.Y. Lance Bass Speaks on Pedro Andrade

Forgive us, but: Lance Bass was totally in sync with his new boyfriend the instant he saw him.

And where did this viewing take place? 35,000 miles up in the air.

Pedro Andrade Photo "He was asleep in the back of the plane on the way over," the former 'N Sync star said Pedro Andrade, who was also en route to Vienna for the May 28 Life Ball.

"I was like, 'He's really cute,'" Bass told People at Monday's New York premiere of the movie Hairspray. (The singer will appear in the Broadway version of the long-running musical starting on Aug. 14.)

At the time Andrade was working at the Austrian event as a model for Heatherette. And now he joins Tyler Atkins as a new boyfriend making celebrity news.

"It's so fresh and new," Bass said about the relationship. "The good thing is learning everything about him. He's really great... amazing."

Bass said that it took some time to get over his break-up with Reichen Lehmkuhl last December â€" but he's enjoying the dating life. "It's the first time I've ever been able to date, so it's nice to go out and get to know people and not jump into a relationship right away, which I usually do."

Hey, that does work out sometimes, Lance. Just look at Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.

Lance Bass and Pedro Andrade: A New Couple

Lance Bass, Pedro Andrade Sorry, Lindsay Lohan. You and AJ Lamas are not the only new couple heating up this summer.

Life is also shaping up nicely for Lance Bass, who recently landed a new job â€" and a new man.

The former 'N Sync star celebrated the 4th of July in New York's Hamptons drinking Ciroc vodka with his new beau, model Pedro Andrade.

The two were at a party in the Hamptons, one actually not attended by Diddy for once. Maybe the man who typically reigns over festivities in that area was at home, lamenting the loss of Kim Porter.

"You could tell they're very happy with each other," a People magazine source says of Bass and Andrade. "Pedro is beyond good-looking ... so hot. Pedro is spunky, full of life. They're a perfect match."

Asked about Bass and Andrade, the singer's press rep, Cindy Owen, said, "I have no comment about his personal life at this time."

But we do: Good for you, Lance! We admire you for showing Isaiah Washington that gay men can have normal love lives, too.

Last winter Bass split from Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl â€" and, in April, he told People he was loving the single life: "It's nice to be able to just date, because I had never been on a date in my life."

Meanwhile, on August 14 Bass will join the cast of Broadway's long-running musical Hairspray. He'll play the role of a Dick Clark-like TV host named Corny Collins. The movie version of this remake, starring John Travolta and Zac Efron, will also be in theaters soon.

Lance Bass is Out of Sync with New Book

No Longer in SyncLance Bass just couldn't resist.

We understand that the former boy-bander and aspiring astronaut wants to write a book about his life - but must he go with the obvious title, Out of Sync?!?

We guess he's still recovering from the break-up with Reichen Lehmkuhl, so we'll go easy.

But still. We hope the book is more original than the title, Lance.

Bass plans to write "all about his life, his music and his sexuality" in the memoir, his publisher, Simon Spotlight Entertainment, announced Wednesday.

We bet Lauren Conrad reads it.

The book will hit stores in October.

In it, Lance will tell readers about his childhood in small-town Mississippi, his experiences as a member of the hugely popular boy band (which started with a phone call from Justin Timberlake when Bass was 16), and, in 2002, his four months in Russia training to be a cosmonaut on a space mission (though he was forced to drop out due to a lack of funds).

Wow. This guy really has already lived a fuller life than Jason Wahler. But that might not be saying much.

Lauren Conrad Sets Sights On... Lance Bass?

Changing Teams?Hopefully, Reichen Lehmkuhl is too busy beating the living snot out of Perez Hilton to see this picture.

After all, Lehmkuhl's ex-boyfriend, Lance Bass, with whom he says he remains good friends, is seen here hanging out with Lauren Conrad.

Yes, we realize that Lance Bass, the former *NSync member, is homosexual. But don't underestimate the power of Conrad to make him change teams.

She may be bad at dating, but Lauren is a hot ticket. Smart, ambitious and cute as hell, it'd be hard for any man out there to resist the alluring star of The Hills.

Brody Jenner sure couldn't. We know that from Monday's episode. Of course, we also know he and LC broke up in real life. Several months ago. But that's neither here nor there.

Point being, don't be surprised to see a press conference in the coming weeks in which Bass announces he is no longer gay. And that he's now with Heidi Montag.

Lance Bass, Reichen Lehmkuhl Break Up, For Real

Former *NSync singer Lance Bass confirms that he and Reichen Lehmkuhl have officially called it quits. For real. Again. Once and for all.

"We broke up last week," Bass told People in an interview. "But we're really good friends. Nothing bad at all â€" nothing bad at all to say."

Down For the Count

The couple had announced in early December that they were splitting though trying to work things out in their budding relationship.

Reichen Lehmkuhl, the handsome model-actor-Amazing Race winner, took issue with tabloid speculation that he was cheating on Lance.

"We remain the best of friends. Please respect our privacy as we try to work things out during this difficult time," they said in a joint statement in December.

The former boy band mate of Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone and two other dudes first revealed his relationship with Lehmkuhl when he declared in July that he is a gay man.

"I'm more liberated and happy than I've been my whole life," Bass said at the time. "I'm just happy."

Chances are, Perez Hilton won't feel the same way once Lehmkuhl tracks him down and beats the living crap out of him - an event we are excited for.

Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkuhl: No Longer In Sync

DunzoHe made news when he came out of the closet.

Now Lance Bass is making news of a different kind.

It appears as though the former boy band member and his boyfriend, Reichen Lehmkuhl, are no longer an item. A source said:

"They had been fighting a lot lately. They tried a lot of things to make it work - even opening up the relationship - but they would just fight all the time towards the end. It wasn't working."

That's too bad. At least Borat wasn't involved in any way, however. Neither Lance or Reichen has been spotted out with any other hottie, so maybe there's still a chance for these two.

Until then, we'll have to get by with news on other celebrity couples, such as Satsuki Mitchell and Daniel Craig.

Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkuhl Receive Death Threats

 Reichen Lehmkuhl, Lance Bass
Lance Bass
is out of the closet.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean he's out of trouble yet.

The Former *N Sync star and his boyfriend, Reichen Lehmkuhl, have been the target of threats from, as Lehmkuhl puts it, "people who do not want me to be so public and expose what is going on in the military."

Justin Timberlake and other celebrities have been supporting of Bas, but it may be Lehmkuhl that's had a more difficult time. He recently published a book about keeping his sexual identity secret while serving in the Air Force and since then has had to "be very protective."

Lehmkuhl said he and Bass have forwarded threats, which aren't specified, to private security personnel and have even informed the FBI about some of the more serious menaces.

"Everything is being covered so we feel safe," he said.

The story proves that being gay in Hollywood, as Bass or Ellen DeGeneres could tell you, isn't a big deal. At least not compared to the armed forces.
