Apparently, someone thought it would be a good idea to invite Mel Gibson to a Jewish film festival.
Shockingly, Mad Mel accepted the invite, and what sounds like the set-up for a bad joke predictably turned into a nightmare involving an obscenity-laced tirade and threats of violence against a young mother of three.
In other words, Gibson went full Gibson:
Yes, according to Radar Online, the actor/director/bigoted psychopath shoved and verbally assaulted a woman named Kristi Miller after discovering that she’d taken a photo of him on her phone at the event in Sydney.
“I thought he was going to punch me in the face,” says Miller. “I took a photo of Mel and his girlfriend and when I turned around he shoved my back really hard. It shocked me because I wasn’t expecting it. I don’t know if it was his hands or elbow.
“He was spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, calling me a dog, saying I’m not even a human being and I will go to hell. He swore and called me a c–t. It was non-stop, he didn’t even breathe.”
Yes, it were any other celeb (or human being, for that matter) this story might be hard to believe, but Gibson’s history of abusing women and generally acting like a coked-out lunatic is well-documented.
Fortunately, Gibson’s new girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, was on hand to prevent him from murdering the woman who dared to snap a photo of a celebrity at a public event.
“He was backing me on to the road,” Miller says. “It was only when (Ross) grabbed his shoulder and said, ‘that is enough’ that he stopped. She said, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry’. They turned and crossed the road and walked off.”
A police report and several eyewitness accounts reportedly confirm Miller’s version of events.
So in case you were wondering: Mel Gibson is still out there, and it’s still a bad idea to invite him to a Jewish film festival. Or any other type of event, for that matter…especially if women will be in attendance.
