Authorities have confirmed that a shooting took place this morning inside Los Angeles International Airport.
While details are still coming in, here is what we know at the moment:
According to airport spokeswoman Nancy Suey Castles, the incident began around 9:30 a.m. at Terminal 3, as one witness tells CNN he heard a "popping sound and everybody was diving for cover" while he waited to board his Virgin Air flight.
"The TSA said there was a shooting in the terminal and [to] evacuate the building," Robert Perez tells CNN, adding that passengers boarded a bus and were taken to a different terminal.
Tory Bellecci from Mythbusters was also on the premises and Tweeted that he heard gunshots and that everyone started running.
TV footage depicts officers swarming the airport while others are being treated by paramedics.
The Los Angeles Times, meanwhile, reports that at least one TSA agent and the suspect himself have been wounded in the attack.
We'll have more information on this alarming story as news breaks throughout the day.
