Dez Bryant delivered great news for fans last night: he's done with domestic abuse!
The Cowboys wide receiver made an unexpected appearance at a Men Against Abuse rally in Dallas on Saturday, expressing remorse for his arrest last year on charges of assault against his mother and saying he's cleaned up his act.
Said teammate Brandon Carr of Bryant's speech:
“Dez got up and was able to give his spiel and his talk. It’s a humbling experience to see your teammates come out and support you and they had the same issues going on in their lives.
"For Dez to get up here in front of all these people and admit his mistakes and to be with us in this rally and take stand against something he was a part of, that speaks volumes.”
According to The Dallas Morning News, Bryant would not get into the details of the event with the press, simply telling reporters afterward: “Here’s all you need to know. I’m done with domestic abuse.”
Hey, that's all that matters.
