The American Idol results are in after nine Beatles Week performances.

As always, the singers were all over the place, and tough to handicap.

Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb were among the more solid vocalists Wednesday, while Lazaro Arbos came up short and broke down afterward.

Did America send him home? Or is someone else on his/her way out?

Let's find out! The American Idol Top 9 singer leaving us is ...

The American Idol 9

Tough break, but someone had to go. That's how it works, after all.

What do you think, THGers? Did the voters make the right call?

First of all I don't get Amber would be in the bottom 2 last nite. She to me, is one of the best singer's in this competition. As for Lazaro, nice kid, but people feel sorry for him, & he was the one who should have been let go instead of Paul. I see either Candace, Kree, or Angie winning. This is definitely a girl's year.

I admire Lazaro's story and what he can do, BUT this is a singing contest and he is out of his league compared to the other singers. He needs to go!

@ Jo

I totally agree w/Jo that I too admire Lazaro. I honestly think America is voting for him because they feel bad for him, & that should NOT be. I do agree however that this is a singing contest & he is out of his league compared to the other singers, & he definitely needs to go.

well, it's girl's place.
