Jennifer Lawrence Acceptance Speech: I Beat Meryl!

by at . Comments

Jennifer Lawrence’s acceptance speech after winning Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical at Sunday night's Golden Globe awards did not sit well with some.

Why? Three words: "I beat Meryl!"

Jennifer Lawrence Beat Meryl!

She did, in fact, beat Meryl Streep for the award, but she wasn't rubbing it in. Rather, she was quoting a line from the 1996 flick The First Wives Club.

J-Law - a nickname coined by Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, who presented her the award - once again showed showcased her genuine and honest side.

Not to mention funny. The 22-year-old went on to thank producer Harvey Weinstein for "killing whoever he had to kill" to get her up there today.

She's also desirable. As in the Most Desirable Woman of 2012, according to at least one survey. See Jennifer Lawrence bikini photos and learn why.

Jennifer Lawerence is a beautiful and talented young actress. It would be great if she would win the Oscar. She would open the door for more young actresses to be considered for such awards and to actually win.

The Late Nina Blanchard said, " as to the manner born" in reference to the model talent she had groomed...the same could be said of Jennifer Lawrence's thespian talent!
