Another publication just crowned Jennifer Lawrence Most Desirable Woman.

Anne Hathaway tells Harper’s Bazaar she is probably the opposite of that.

The Les Miserables star, who is already generating serious Oscar buzz for her role as dying prostitute Fantine, says she’s well aware of her image. She says:

“I’m not Rihanna. I’m not cool. When people come up to me in the street, they often want a hug, not a photo, and they want that because they like my work.”

Hathaway first made her mark in the Princess Diaries movie franchise.

“For a long time it was me and [my manager] against the world,” she continued. “I was seen as this bizarre-world good-girl cartoon that I in no way identified with.”

“Very vanilla, very sweet, very accessible and not interesting.”

The 30-year-old star laments, “I had no grit, no sex appeal.”

With up-and-comers like Emma Stone and Lawrence ruling the box office, Hathaway, who married Adam Shulman last year, feels less desirable than ever.

“It doesn’t help that the new crop of girls is so gorgeous, and so 22 years old,” she told Harper’s Bazaar of turning the big 3-0. “But I’m excited about it.”

Somehow we think Anne will find her way in 2013 and beyond.
