Dwyane Wade Suspended For Kicking Ramon Sessions' Balls
by Free Britney at .Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade conspicuously kicked Ramon Sessions in the groin the other night, and the NBA has kicked him to the curb for one game.
The All-Star has been suspended for today's matchup with Detroit.
Though not called by referees, the play (below) earned him a one-game suspension, which Wade was not pleased about, taking to Twitter to defend himself.
"I'm far from being a dirty player, + my intent was never 2 kick Ramon Sessions ... I just reacted to the contact that I got from him," Wade said Thursday night.
"More than anything, I think of my boys watchin me be4 retaliating 2ward any player."
Sessions, of the Charlotte Bobcats, took umbrage with the play after the game.
"I thought he did it on purpose, and it wasn't called," he said after Miami's 105-92 win.
It's true that Wade is primarily known for taking hard fouls, not dishing them out ... but his motion toward Sessions' groin seemed rather direct. Thoughts?
