Brett Cohen is not a singer. And, no, he did not star in Spider-Man.
But countless tourists and New York City residents fell for this regular guy's act during his July 27th venture through Times Square, as Cohen conducted a social experiment:
Could a random guy, dressed appropriately and walking around with a camerman and an entourage, pass for a celebrity? Would throngs of people gather around, scream and pose for photos with someone they had never never seen or heard of before, simply because he looked like he was famous?
And, in this day and age of Kim Kardashian, would they then pretend to be actually familiar with his supposed work? The hilarious/depressing answer, as depicted in the following video? Heck yes.
