Miley Cyrus continues to stand up for her new haircut.

Despite a rash of criticism over the very short blonde locks, the singer is proud of her brand new look. She directly addressed the critics in a couple Twitter posts yesterday, and now she's published a new self-portrait along with a few inspiring words.

"Self love is the greatest of all flatterers," Cyrus wrote beneath this headshot, which includes an up-close look at her nose ring and dark red lips.

    Her hair is sick! i think she was super brave to cut her hair off and she looks super edgy and punk rock. go miley! i love your new 'do. and all the haters that are giving you crap...well they're just jealous b/c they could NEVER pull off anything like it.

    i hate miley cryrus ,i think she is a freak now and does everyoen in my country but is it true that she is so rude stupid nd mean like omg i thought she was nice and she was pertty but now she looks like an emo threw her out .miley u should be better , look nicer change ur stink attitude and get a better hair seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
