Basketball Wives Producers to Sue Jennifer Williams?

Producers of VH1's Basketball Wives are thinking about filing a lawsuit against cast member Jennifer Williams for publicly trashing the reality show.

After Jennifer Williams sued Nia Crooks for slapping her in the face while taping an episode (below), VH1 reportedly became absolutely livid with her.

Now producers are ready rebut Williams' legal and media rampage, during which she said the show portrays African-American women negatively.

Producers feel Williams' lawsuit is frivolous - her contract says she waives such a right to sue based on physical confrontations, the network says.

Moreover, her explicit show-bashing is in violation of her contract, which forbids cast members from doing media appearances or press without approval.

Or speaking negatively about the show, which the nut job clearly has.

VH1 feels J-Dubs is "ruining the brand" they worked so hard to build, which is hilarious, but actually not a legal stretch if she's in breach of contract.

Crooks, for her part, was charged with battery for the slap. Really.

    I watched the show last night and I was pisesd. Tami needs to be socked and beat down. I wanted to jump through my television and knock her OUT! Her therapy sessions aren't working. She needs to fire her therpist. It's obvious to me that some man used to abuse Tami in the same way. And then she takes the girls purse and holds it hostage. Really? All that hate and anger looks so bad. Tami, you suck!!! Get on your knees and pray for Devine intervention. You don't know how to respect other people and you definately can't control your foul mouth. Please leave the show. Evelyn, Suzi, & Shaunie, you ladies just sat around and let it all happen last night, and didn't do nothing. Shame on you all. Cancel the show. I'd rather watch La La.

    I think that Tami is a fuckin' bully, Evelyn is just a well paid tramp and Shaunie is making a fast buck off of all those stupid hoes. Jen has the right to defend herself and just because Royce can't talk about Dwight Howard sorry ass, who cares! Suzy needs a hobby, Kesha needs a life (damn that bitch is boring) and Kenya needs an extreme makeover.

    Way to go Producers! That's the way, aha, aha! An eye for an eye. Now i understand the players of this game. Hey, the producers should do a spin off of all this and call it "BBW - Power vs Fire" the ratings will go off the charts. Way to go Producers, you are all doing the right thing and what better than exercise your power and money...we the audience are following You.

    This just goes to show that violence sells. This isaterrible message tossed to the youths of the world. Jennifer Williams had every right to defend herself legally. Shaunie, Evelyn and Tami are all full of BS. Susie is two-faced and allow Tami and Evelyn to talk to her with much disrespect. I like Royce. THESE VH1 PRODUCERS JUST PROVED THAT VIOLENCE SELLS AND THAT'S WHAT THIS SHOW PORTRAYS. SHAUNIE ONEAL CONDONED IT 100%. WHAT A SHAME!

    I dont think it is wise to get rid of Jennifer. They will lose a ton of viewers and it was ridiculous for the little girl to slap Jenn. I do think she will drop the charges but I think a lesson had to be learned. It is a shame that violence is what caused this mess and they are dumping Jenn for it. Let Shaunie get slapped and see what happens.
