by at .

Heather Locklear was rushed to the hospital around 2 p.m. local time today, after authorities responded to a call from her sister in Los Angeles, who feared the actress was in danger.

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ they believe Locklear took a mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol, as paramedics on the scene decided she needed medical attention.

"Emergency response personnel responded to a medical emergency call at Ms. Locklear's residence," confirmed Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Mike Aranda to People. "Once they arrived, it was determined that Ms. Locklear needed to be transported to the hospital for further medical attention."

Locklear, who called off her engagement to Jack Wagner late last year, was just spotted Tuesday night with a friend at the Lakers game.

It works better using whiskey or vodka, instead of wine. That is just a weak attempt. Next time use the gun it's quicker and the pictures are much better.

I recently had to go into the hospital. It was scary. And I didn't drink alcohol - I don't drink. But a couple of medications I am on (the two doctors working wth me know what I am on and I use ONE pharmacy) The meds had a very bad interaction. So, I was in the hospital about 4 nights. I had wild heart palps, shortness of breath and many times thought I was going to check out! So, yes, I can imagine how easy it is for others taking things without trying to keep it all under the supervision of the pros. I am glad Heather's sister called for the ambulance. It could have ended badly. Better safe than sorry - and they don't just put those lables on the bottles to not drink alcohol for no reason. One must be very careful. I heard a talk show host explaining how out of control pils are in LA. He said everyone's pockets are full of them, xanax, pain pills, whatever you want you can get.....and so it goes....like this expect to lose more of our young bright talent.

She probably has a chemical imbalance exacerbated by alcohol. Clinical depression is no joke. And mixing alcohol only fuxs with your metabolism...She might be an alcoholic. Hope she gets help.
