Confirmed: The Real Housewives of New York City Sacks Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon
Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop have all been let go from The Real Housewives of New York City cast, according to a Bravo source.
Rumors about the casting change began last week amid reports that Zarin, McCord and Bensimon were fired from the show. At the time, their reps denied it.
Looks like there was obviously some truth to it, sadly.
"Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn De Lesseps will be returning for Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New York City," a network spokesperson said.
"We've had a fabulous run with all the ladies and appreciate them sharing their lives with our viewers. It is a friendly departure among the other ladies."
"We continue to have on-going discussions with them."
Whatever the hell that means. McCord told People:
"Of course Simon and I are sad not to continue with RHONY but it's a friendly decision and discussions with Bravo are ongoing for other projects."
Zarin's rep said: "Jill is humbled by the extraordinary amount of media interest in her response and looks forward to personally opening up about all of this very soon and announcing some exciting new projects."
Jill was the first to really tease her departure this fall.
Bensimon, meanwhile, said through a rep that she was still negotiating her contract. Even if she were to return, it'll be a new-look RHONY.
When Season 5 airs, Countess LuAnn and Ramona will be the only original cast members returning. That leaves a lot of open, snobby slots to fill.

Glad to see Alex go. She has one weird shaped head, how the heck she thinks she is model material is beyond comprehension. Obviously her ugly husband tells her she's beautiful. If it looks like a horse and walks like a horse....guess what...its probably a horse! lmfao

The show will miss Jill, Ramona is a drunk and needs help. I will not watch until Jill returns.

Jill--just a typical NY snob with a hen pecked hubby and lost daughter. Tends to bark the loudest but cowers upon confrontation.
Ramona--A brittle obvious FAKE SOT who needs her Xanax dosage upped....WAY up....quite possibly an escapee from the DuPont compound....raising her kid to be just like mommy....and her hubby is not handsome....he is more fake than the women on the show. Maybe he could get a job as a toothpaste model...
LuAnne....Started out as a 'lady' but is letting her fame get to her. Stop while you're ahead dahhhling.....your dignity is worth more than the show....
Cindy-- An obvious misfit of whom does not belong around these creatures....and I mean that in a good way.
Sonja--Lost and broke. Cant succeed without a rich man. Living her teenybopper fantasies now that she's in her late 60's...
Alex--FAKE WANNABE. Ruined her rep by acting like an edentulous pit bull. Please get back in the pen with that disgrace of a hubby of yours....and God help your boys...

jill is like a poison shes vile she thinks shes so much better than the rest ,that poor husband of hers is like a puppet she even speaks for him ? good riddance she needs to get back to selling her curtains ha ha

jill best ever !!!!!!!!!! Love your husband Bobby your daughter and your wonderful mother. We all wish we had a mum like yours PLEASE DONT GO. Honest true and great sense of humour as opposed to Ramona who only thinks of herself is delusional in thinking she is doing things for her daughter when she is obviously doing it for herself!! needs to age gracefully also needs to address possible mental health issues.

loved bethany wish her all the best and sad the way her and jills friendship went but jill just did'nt give her the chance when she had it but i still like jill at least she can admitt when she is wrong but she is blind to nasty luann who is a mean devious person who enjoyed the split between bethany and jill, bring back bethany and jill. kelly is a fruit loop who really has no heart for anybody but herself, ramona is one mixed up lady but she does have fun even if she has a horrible knack of hitting below the belt, alex not to bothered but she did let herself down with her dreadful timing and lack of being always able to back up her arguements, sonja you are niceish but you come across desperate,cindy your just boring and you really need to learn how to be a mum..luann should go and drop the countess status we have royality in england and you havent got a clue,your mean and a let down to the title countess you cindy and kelly look like men in drag..love bethany here and jills not a ba
