Glee Creator to Kings of Leon: Eff You!
by Hilton Hater at .It's safe to say Glee won't be airing a Kings of Leon tribute episode any time soon.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Ryan Murphy holds little back when asked about the band refusing to allow the show to use their songs. He says:
"F--k you, Kings of Leon. They're self-centered assholes and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument.
"You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music."
In response, lead singer Caleb Followill basically said: Huh?!?
As previewed above, Glee will air a special Super Bowl episode following the big game between the Packers and Steelers on February 8.

"what we really do is turn kids on to music" Yeh of course you do, just like McDonalds turns kids onto fine cuisine. Idiot needs to clue himself in.
glee blows. sucha joke. they completely ruin music for every human being that watches that garbage
Touche. Cna't stand Kings of Leon.. you're better off without them.
Wow, I like Glee but all I can say is Ryan Murphey should take his comment and point it at himself, bashing on a band for not wanting to let you take their songs, makes you a self-centered asshole not them.
I'm not a Kings of Leon fan but it's refreshing to see a modern band have some integrity and not sell out. Maybe their music isn't intended for everyone? Maybe a song like "Sex on Fire" isn't for a seven year old kid? PS - The only thing that Glee does for music is ruin it.
