Justin Bieber Named Artist of the Year
by Hilton Hater at .Simply put, Justin Bieber owned the American Music Awards last night.
This 16-year old became the youngest singer to win Artist of the Year, adding that trophy to a haul that also included Pop/Rock Male, Breakthrough Artist and Album of the Year for "My World 2.0."
While on stage to accept the top honor, Bieber invited Usher to join him, referring to the R&B star as "not only my mentor but my best friend and my big brother." It was a very nice moment, only topped for many by Justin's rendition of "Pray," a single off his upcoming acoustic album:
Other major winners at the AMAs included:
Lady Gaga for Pop/Rock Female; The Black Eyed Peas for Pop/Rock Group; Brad Paisley for Male Country Artist; Taylor Swift for Female Country Artist; and Carrie Underwood for Country Album of the Year. But, really, it was a night of Bieber Fever all around. congrats JB keep going ,my blessings and love is with u.
OK now I believe dooms day is coming !!! The world has gone crazy
I can't believe Justin Bieber one this...his lyrics are not creative and he is just like any other pop artist singing about love that he probably has never even felt. His lyrics are cliche' and he's forgettable, his music is for teeny boppers. they should have given the award to someone who has devoted their life and to someone who actually got to fame on their own, without the help of Usher. !!
I'll bet Josh Groban is saying "flippin foulin foulin filthin foul foul flippin foulin piece of filthin 16 year olds"
Congrats to Justin on your multiple wins on The AMA Awards. We all knew that you were going to be a big winner. Music has always been universal.Whether the BeeGees,Aretha,Elton, Usher,Carly Simon or The O'Jays sing the song,if you like the song and music, it does not matter who is singing it. Long live the power of music and the musicians who translate their words into songs.
