Dancing with the Stars Recap: A Perfect Score!

by at . Comments

We were seriously afraid that season nine of Dancing with the Stars would come and go without a perfect score.

The contestants have simply been that weak.

But Mya and Dmitry Chaplin brought their A-games last night, almost combining for 60 perfect points across two dances. Instead, they had to settle for 59, highlighted by a Samba that received rave reviews from all judges.

Len referred to the singer's hips as "hypnotic;" Bruno said it was a "mean, mean samba;" and Carrie Ann exclaimed: "Everything was perfect. It was beyond belief."

Solid Dancers

Can we please hand these two the trophy already?

Here's a look at last night's leaderboard, which featured a pair of routines for all five remaining quarterfinalists:

  • Mya and Dmitry Chaplin: 59
  • Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough: 52
  • Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel: 51
  • Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff: 50
  • Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson: 50

On tonight's elimination show, Michael Bublé and Susan Boyle will perform. Who do you think should go home?

Mya was and is a professional dancer and has even done some of their choreographing! Mel B, Joey and Donnie and others have never had so much dance background as Mya! It just isn't fair! Kelly and Joanna have come the farest in their dance.

I hope that Aaron goes home. He is not that good of a dancer. Karina just makes him look good. I would love to see Kelly and Louis win. Joanne and Dericks Future Paso was great last night they should have gotten 30 also.

I think Mya is a beautiful dancer, attitude or not. It is a dance competition, people.

I don't care for Mya. She is a good dancer but her arrogance ruins it for me.......I vote for Donnie Osmond. He brings entertainment to the show.

I myself think Aaron should go home. Or believe it or not Mya and Dimitri. I think the final two should be bewteen Joanne and Derek and Louis and Kelly. Mya thinks she is all that and I cannot stand her. her myself.

Dancing with the Stars Quotes

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
