She's already announced her upcoming retirement from MTV's The Hills. Now it looks as though Lauren Conrad's clothing line is temporarily on hold.
"She is taking a hiatus, but the line still exists and will continue," her rep said. "Sales in the first year doubled what was projected. However, in light of the economy, it's a good time for Lauren to take a few seasons off to re-work her line."
"Lauren will look over the past seasons to determine what worked and what didn't work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans."
The reality TV star - who's filming her fifth and final season of The Hills (premieres April 6) - launched the Lauren Conrad Collection in fall 2007.
In March, Lauren Conrad - who was often filmed for The Hills in class at L.A.'s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising - said that after the show ended, she would be able to "spend more time doing what I really love - fashion and design."
Lauren is still the face of Avon's Mark makeup, and her first book L.A. Candy hits stores June 16. Click to enlarge more photos of her at an Avon event:
