Justin Bieber has made a few mistakes over the past few days.

The singer sort of lost it on a Today Show cameraman in front of millions of viewers at home. And he dyed his hair platinum blonde for some reason as well.

But Bieber did one thing very much right on Thursday:

He put on a special, intimate, acoustic performance backstage at The Today Show for a group of children who lost loved ones on 9/11.

Bieber – who has granted over 250 Make-A-Wishes over the years – teamed this time around with Cantor Fitzgerald 9/11 Families organization to pull off the event, which took place just one day before the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took thousands of lives in 2001.

Accompanied by guitarist Dan Kanter, Bieber sang “All That Matters” and “What Do You Mean?," along with other tracks.

Watch now to see these special kids smiling and crying and one being caught on camera uttering the words "I can’t breathe."
