Has The Voice Season 9 already found its champion, following just one episode?
Following Jordan Smith’s mesmerizing rendition of “Chandelier” by Sia, Adam Levine wasn’t content in merely singing the aspiring star’s praises as an artist.
The Maroon 5 frontman, who Smith chose to serve as his coach, gushed over Jordan as a human being and as a potential role model.
“I think not just the show, but the world needs a person like you. I think you’re the most important person that’s ever been on this show,” said Levine, adding later after nabbing Smith for his team:
“Dude, I think you are a ray of light. I’m so excited, thank you.”
It’s safe to say Gwen Stefani was also impressed.
"That was the most trippiest turn-around, blind audition freakiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. You do not look like your voice," she told Jordan.
