Jimmy Kimmel is a really funny guy.
Case in point: all of these Jimmy Kimmel Live segments.
But the comedian turned serious on Tuesday night after chronicling what happened to Cecil the Lion, an animal in Zimbabwe who was hunted (in grotesque, painstaking, drawn-out) fashion by an American dentist named Walter Palmer who lives in Minnesota.
After quoting Palmer’s explanation for what happened, Kimmel got angry and asked:
"The big question is, why are you shooting a lion in the first place? …Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things?”
The talk show host went on to take a job at Bill Cosby while saying that Palmer has become the “most hated man in America who never advertised Jell-o pudding on television."
But the segment is mostly serious and emotional, with Kimmel nearly breaking down toward the end when encouraging folks to "donate to wildcru.org to support wildlife conservation."
