It’s been one month since Ryan Edwards was arrested for heroin possession and skipping out on a bar tab.
The former Teen Mom OG star remains behind bars, and his future isn’t looking particularly bright.
In fact, it seems unlikely that Ryan will emerge from this situation without serving some sort of sentence for violating his probation in such an egregious fashion.
Despite her husband’s repeated relapses and brushes with the law, however, Mackenzie Standifer is standing by her man.
But according to a new report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, she’s not letting him off the hook, and she knows exactly what kind of changes will need to be made whenever Ryan gets released.
Take a look:
One Long Rough Patch
It would be a massive understatement to say that Ryan and Mackenzie’s relationship has seen its share of difficulties.
Hard Times
Ryan has been arrested three times in the past 18 months, and it looks as though his latest brush with the law will carry some serious consequences.
Doin’ Time
Ryan is currently behind bars, and he’ll remain locked up at least until his April 15 court date.
Denied Bond

âÂÂThe case has been continued to April 15, 2019,â a Clerk of Court for Red Bank in Tennessee told Radar Online. âÂÂHeâÂÂs going to serve time in county jail until then.âÂÂ
Another Long Absence
His time behind bars comes on the heels of a 90-day stint in rehab that ended in late November.
Making It Through
Mackenzie has described Ryan’s time in rehab as “the longest 90 days” of her life.
Making the Best Of It
Over the weekend, Standifer posted this photo of herself and a friend at a bar. Fans were quick to criticize her in the comments.
Marg Sippin’
“Spicy margs with my fave gal pal? I think yes,” Mackenzie captioned the pic.
She Can’t Win

Seems innocent enough to us, but in the comments section, some fans took issue with Mackenzie drinking despite Ryan’s well-documented addiction issues.
Loaded Question

“But would he stop doing drugs if you asked him?? Nope,” wrote one fan.
Not Appreciated!
Others “defended” Mackenzie in a way that she probably didn’t appreciate, such as the follower who wrote, “She needs to drink to celebrate dumping Ryan! Why should she change any of her ways for him? He has enough people wiping his bum!”
Unbothered
Mackenzie was quick to respond to the criticism, writing, “ItâÂÂs fine, IâÂÂm still going to do what I want.”
What’s the Logic Here?
Obviously, it’s absurd to think that Mackenzie having a drink while Ryan is behind bars would interfere with his recovery.
Going Into Specifics
But just in case there were any feelings that Mackenzie is not being properly sensitive to Ryan’s needs, she laid out her thoughts on the issue.
Between the Two of Them
âÂÂIf Ryan asked me not to drink, I wouldnâÂÂt take another sip,â Mackenzie wrote.
Not a Boozer
âÂÂIâÂÂm not really a drinker in the first place. I can count on one hand the number of drinks IâÂÂve had in the past yearâ¦â she added.
Complicated Issue
In Mack’s defense, many of her followers pointed out that alcohol is “not Ryan’s poison.”
A Fair Point?
They’re referring to the fact that most of his legal issues have resulted from his addiction to opioids and had nothing to do with drinking.
Not So Fast

However, one of the charges against Ryan in his latest arrest had to do with the 30-year-old allegedly skipping out on a $36 bar tab.
Bogus Charge?

However, that charge was dropped, and Mackenzie says it was all a big misunderstanding.
Mackenzie’s Defense
âÂÂYa know the funny thing about that is the case was dismissed Feb 4 @ 9am after our attorney provided the receipt where the tab was paid that day,â she wrote on Instagram.
Pick Your Poison

While it may be true that heroin has caused the majority of Ryan’s problems, it’s worth noting that both of his recent relapses began with the troubled TMOG star drinking alcohol.
Treading Lightly
So while Mackenzie is certainly few to enjoy a cocktail if she so chooses, the issue may not be as black-and-white as some fans are claiming.
