90 Day Fiance alum Larissa Lima has admitted that marrying boyfriend Eric would be her dream come true.
But for now, she's trying to work on her health -- her mental and emotional well-being.
Larissa recently revealed that she has been grappling with depression and anxiety for over a year.
She's tried to resolve it herself, but nothing so far has worked.
Now, she's prepared to seek real treatment -- and you may be surprised at who's reportedly footing the bill.
Oh no, Larissa
Last week, Larissa Lima posted and deleted a very heartfelt message about her mental and emotional health -- and what she's doing to remedy it.
She's grappled with depression for over a year
"I was devastated, emotionally exhausted, and my entire body ached from depression," Larissa reveals, recalling the aftermath of her arrest in June 2018.
And THIS may explain some of her behavior
"Sometimes, I was filmed while being on pain killers," Larissa now admits.
She wasn't especially functional
Larissa describes: "I couldn’t move, do basic activities, or take care of myself."
It sounds like Colt was a huge factor in her misery
"You all know how my marriage started, " Larissa says, referring to how Colt seduced her online but how life with him was nothing like she had expected and how his demeanor was suddenly much less charming -- especially when cameras were not rolling.
She has more to say
She continues, referring to her marriage: "and how it ended in the worst of ways." Larissa and Colt's marriage didn't just end in divorce, but with a scary bloody fight. Larissa's face was smeared in her own blood and her torso was covered with injuries, but Colt called the police first and she was the one arrested -- yet again.
As for being arrested three times, Larissa says ...
"I now see that my being attested was a blessing," she reveals. That's a little surprising, especially from someone who many fans believe was not the aggressor in her arrests.
She explains why she feels this way:
Larissa is grateful "as l have the knowledge now to give back." She did community service as part of her agreement with the court after her third arrest, as we reported earlier this year (a report so accurate that Larissa gave us a shoutout after a number of other sites posted misleading and even incorrect headlines).
Larissa liked her community service
She is now familiar with ways to help her community "in a way that would not of been possible if it didn't happen to me." That makes sense. Helping others can be fun, but you don't always realize the ways that this can be done until, say, volunteering to feed the homeless becomes extra credit one semester or you get tasked with community service.
Larissa really did take to that well
Part of her community service was volunteering for a trans suicide hotline. Larissa volunteered during and after Pride, when trans visibility -- and therefore hateful backlash -- is at its peak. Vulnerable, marginalized individuals who hear hate about themselves day in and day out sometimes need to hear a sympathetic voice to keep going. Larissa provided emotional support to those who needed it the most.
But now, it's Larissa who needs help and support
Fortunately, it looks like she's getting it -- for her depression, for her anxiety, and some suspect for PTSD.
She's getting some help, folks
"I am so pleased to say, and so grateful," Larissa writes. "That the Discovery Group owner of TLC has offered me treatment through this difficult journey."
That is wonderful news!
While she did delete the post -- possibly due to her strict divorce agreement which forbids speaking ill of her ex-husband, Colt -- it's good to know that TLC is offering her some form of help with her mental well-being.
She discussed mental health very recently
During an Instagram Q&A, Larissa mentioned that she had (legally) tried marijuana edibles to see if they helped with her anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, it wasn't the right fit for her. Maybe she needed a different dose or a different strain, or maybe she needs a different substance. Medicine, herbal or otherwise, is like that.
She has other support, too
And Larissa's fans and followers still want to know what her future holds with Erickee (ahem, Eric).
Will she marry him?
Answering "secret" is a bit of a surprise -- very different from answering "no" or "I hope so" or "I don't know." Writing "secret" implies that she knows the answer but cannot or will not say.
Are they engaged?
Maybe. Or maybe they've talked about it. It's possible that they're keeping things under wraps because of a television deal.
Speaking of marriage ...
Larissa waxed philosophical about how people's ideas about marriage need to evolve. Are she and Eric planning upon an open marriage or a polyamorous marriage? She's not saying that, and may not even be speaking of herself, but she's absolutely right. There are lots of types of marriages and there have been for Millennia.
Regardless, we're rooting for Larissa
We hope that she is able to manage her anxiety and depression and any other mental and emotional issues soon. She's been through a lot. It's time for her to be happy, don't you think?
