From the moment she got fired, there was a very real fear among Teen Mom fans that Jenelle Evans would come back to MTV oncw the network got desperate enough to re-hire her.
And when Evans filed for divorce from David Eason last month, that fear began to seem like an inevitability.
After all, Eason was the main reason Jenelle was fired from the show.
And with Teen Mom 2 ratings plummeting in the wake of Jenelle’s termination, it wasn’t hard to imagine a scenario in which execs would extend a job offer to the newly-single Ms. Eason.
So is Jenelle really returning to the show that made her famous?
Well, that’s what she would have us believe — but some fans aren’t buying it.

Chillin’ on the Unemployment Line
It’s been six months since Jenelle Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2. Now, she may be hinting at a return to the show that made her infamous.
Unseen Moments
Jenelle posted this photo on Snapchat with a caption reading “Unseen Moments…wrapped!”
Come Again?
Unseen Moments, of course, is the name for one of the specials MTV airs at the conclusion of each season of Teen Mom 2.
Uproar
For obvious reasons, fans took the post as an indication that Evans would be rejoining the cast, or had at least participated in the Unseen Moments special.
Mixed Reaction
While a handful of diehard Jenelle fans were excited by the news, many more commenters were outraged, with some threatening to boycott MTV should the network decide to re-hire Evans.
Testing the Waters
But now, it seems that Jenelle was just conning her followers, possibly in hopes of finding out how the public would react to news that she had been re-hired.
Sure, Jenelle
“The picture posted to my Snapchat yesterday was a ‘throwback’ pic on my memories when I was pregnant with Ensley,” she tweeted in response to the controversy. “Just thought I looked pretty so I posted. Stop reading into everything so much,” she tweeted.
Not Buying It
Yeah, no. It’s not like Jenelle is new to social media. She knew exactly what the response to that photo would be.
The Con
Typically, people identify throwbacks as such in order to avoid confusion. Not only did Jenelle fail to do that, she also wrote a NEW caption that very much created the impression that it was a new photo.
She Knew What She Was Doing
Evans could have easily said nothing about where the photo was taken. Instead, she named the special she was shooting — without giving any indication that the special and the pic were both shot a long time ago.
Something In the Works
But just because Jenelle hasn’t actually been filming new content for MTV, that doesn’t mean her time at the network is officially over.
The Return
In fact, a new report from Radar Online claims that Evans will almost certainly be making her triumphant return to television sometime in the near future.
In Talks
“Jenelle has been talking to MTV for a few weeks,†a source tells the site.
The Comeback
“Jenelle has been talking to MTV and it has been about her coming back,†a second insider confirmed to Radar.
Getting the Ax
As you probably recall, Evans was fired back in May, largely due to the actions of her soon-to-be-ex-husband.
The Nugget Incident
David shot and killed Jenelle’s dog, Nugget, in a fit of rage, and her decision to help him cover up his crime had disastrous consequences.
Tumbling Down
In a matter of weeks, Jenelle’s whole life fell apart. She lost custody of her kids and was fired from her role on Teen Mom 2 — a job that paid $400,000 a year and brought with it numerous business opportunities.
Standing By Her Man
For months after the shooting, Jenelle stood by her husband and defended him against widespread allegations of animal and child abuse.
Kindred Spirits
Jenelle, of course, has faced similar accusations herself, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that when she finally decided to leave David, she was motivated not by concern for her kids, but by worries about her bank account.
Dead Weight
“It went off like a lightbulb in her head,” the source tells Radar. “‘I have this husband that doesn’t work? What in the hell am I going to do?’â€Â
David the Sponge
Yes, Eason hasn’t worked since 2017, when he was fired by MTV himself. And it seems Jenelle rightly decided that she would be a lot more attractive to her old bosses without her dangerous husband lurking about.
Finally, a Good Decision
“So, she decided to end the marriage before it is too late,” says the insider. “There is no money left and she wants to make money again.â€Â
High and Dry
Eason is reportedly broke, and insiders say his only asset is the house and land he purchased with Jenelle. But apparently, that’s just fine by Evans.
Let the Baby Have His Bottle
“Jenelle doesn’t care about the house or the property,” one of the insiders claims. “She will sell it if she has to. It’s just property. Nothing that matters.â€Â
Peace In Our Time
Yes, while we’re sure there’s a lot of ugly legal wrangling in store for Jenelle and David, it seems that in one respect, both parties are getting what they want.
Win-Win
Jenelle gets to return to MTV, and David gets to continue living on his beloved Land.

The only loser here is the Teen Mom 2 viewers who will now have to deal with the unexpected — and largely unwanted — return of the Carolina Hurricane.
