In October, Deavan Clegg got political in a way that surprised followers and left many fans feeling divided.
But fans will not be divided when they gasp in horror at Deavan’s recent nightmare.
She tried to get lip fillers. She even went to a professional.
The results will curdle your blood.

The good news is that this story has a surprisingly happy ending.
Oh no, Deavan!
Deavan decided that, like a number of reality stars, she would like to have slightly plumper lips. Unfortunately, she did not do quite as much research as she wishes that she had before getting fillers. As the saying goes, the Deavan’s in the details.

“In Korea I decided to get lip fillers before doing research,” Deavan writes. “The product they injected had not been tested. I went to a professional.”
This is not for the faint of heart
This is just one of the images that Deavan opted to share. This doesn’t just not look like she had wanted — it looks absolutely agonizing. But we already know that this story has a happy ending.
And it gets worse
Deavan may have put on a brave face for these photos, but she reveals that it was worse than it looks. “My lip was so swollen and injected incorrectly. I had damage so severe that my lip was dying.”
Please learn from her mistakes
“Please ladies do research it’s okay to get lip fillers and feel beautiful,” Deavan expresses. “But please do research and find a doctor who specializes in it.”
She was at a total loss
“I searched hours on what to do and couldn’t find anything,” Deavan laments. “So I want to help girls who are going or went through this.”
That’s when Larissa Lima came to the rescue
“I want to thank @larissalimareal for recommending Heather,” Deavan writes of the expert whom she went to see on her already-planned Vegas trip. “Heather saved my lip from dying and I am so happy thank you so much @aestheticmedicine_lv for saving my lip.”
The day was saved
“It means the world and ladies and gentlemen check her out she is absolutely amazing,” Deavan raves.

Well that was terrifying
Did it have a happy ending? Yes. But no one should have to worry about part of their face swelling up and dying — ESPECIALLY when the person whom they go to see is a professional.
Big shoutout to Larissa
Could Deavan have found someone to fix her lips? Almost certanly. But looking for hours didn’t help, and Larissa did.
The work on Larissa speaks for itself
Larissa didn’t just provide Deavan with a name, but with a recommendation. She had firsthand knowledge that Heather knew what she was doing.
Don’t think that we didn’t notice what Deavan called her
She called Larissa the “queen,” a title dating back to one of Larissa’s most epic moments on 90 Day Fiance. Deavan’s not the only one to “bow down,” so to speak, by using Larissa’s title.
Everybody learns, one way or the other
In the mean time, however, Larissa has been very forthcoming about her own cosmetic procedures, making sure that fans can see her undergoing non-surgical cosmetic treatments as she gets her look exactly how she wants it.
Deavan is still living in South Korea
A visit to Vegas is just that, a visit. Deavan has revealed that a crazed and dangerous relative is too much of a menace for her to safely live in the US for now.
She and Jihoon are still together
They have had their ups and downs, however. Earlier this autumn, Deavan revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage. Unfortunately, this coincided closely with someone untrustworthy leaking her pregnancy news to the entire world weeks or even months before she would have made the announcement. Awful.
She also got a little political
After an article (here at THG, no less) briefly explained the polical reasons fo which some 90 Day Fiance spouses found it harder to get visas than others after Deavan acknowledged that Jihoon could easily move to the US, Deavan went on a video rant expressing her belief that there are no white nationalists directing immigration policy. To be fair, this was before the recently published emails by Stephen Miller. It may be that she was simply blissfully unaware of him.
Deavan is focused upon being a mom
She now has two children, Drascilla and Taeyang, and they mean the world to her and to Jihoon.
Let’s hope that her lips make a full recovery!
