Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau dropped a gigantic bombshell on the Internet this week, revealing that the couple is expecting its first child together some time in 2018.
The shocking news comes on the heels of MTV airing one Teen Mom 2 episode after another that features Javi right smack dab in the middle of a feud between ex-wife Kailyn Lowry and ex-girlfriend Briana DeJesus.
But it's now clear that Marroquin has moved past those women and set his sights on a future with Comeau, who he first dated in the summer of 2017 before the pair broke up and got back together this spring.
For good this time, we hope, for the sake of his impending child.
How have Kailyn and Briana reacted to Comeau's pregnancy?
Scroll down to find out!
It Really is True
Javi and Lauren shared this photo on Facebook, which includes a snapshot of the latter's sonogram, along with Marroquin's four-year old son, Lincoln. Pretty darn cute, huh?
Javi is Pretty Psyched, Too
"A baby is a blessing and I am ecstatic for the future," wrote Marroquin along with that previous photo, adding of his son and lover: "Lincoln is happy, I'm happy, and Lauren is happy."
A Time to Reflect
Added Javi: "Been kinda quiet lately for many reasons. I was sad I couldn't share the good news because I was afraid of what people would say. The amount of love I've received is so overwhelming and so appreciated. I realized no negative comment will take this moment away from us."
Farewell for Now
"Gonna go on a little hiatus from social media to take all this in and enjoy it with my family and loved ones," continued the Teen Mom veteran, concluding: "For those sending love, thank you! We appreciate it. And to you @lauren3elizabeth thank you for blessing me with another child. We are gonna be amazing parents together."
Lowry was married to Javi and shares custody of little Lincoln with him. This is what she said in response to Comeau's pregnancy: "I knew. I wish them the best."
That Was It?
Yes. What else was she going to say? (We do wonder for how long she has known, however.)
Hey, It Could Have Gone Worse
Javi spoke to Us Weekly about how he was nervous to tell his former wife, explaining the situation as follows: "Linc knew, so I didn’t want him spilling the beans before I did, but she took it well and I think we’re both at a point in our lives where we are happy for each other."
A Brief History:
Kailyn and Javi announced their divorce in May of 2016. He then started dating Comeau in September of 2017, but they briefly split. At this point, Marroquin moved on to fellow Teen Mom 2 star DeJesus, with whom he slept from October of 2017 to January of 2018.
Got It. So Then What Does Briana Have to Say About the Pregnancy?
"I’m happy for them. I wish them nothing but the best," she told Us Weekly. How mature of her, right?
Wait, There Was More
Added Briana: "I don’t wish it was my baby." Okay, well, that's a bit less mature, we guess.
And Yet... Understandable
On a May 2018 episode of Teen Mom 2, Javi pulled out a diamond ring while talking to his sister and said he was going to propose to DeJesus. "Briana really loves me and I see that," he said. Fast forward just a few weeks and we can understand why Briana is a little salty that Javi is HAVING A BABY with someone else.
Mostly Well Wishes Overall:
Still, in the end, DeJesus concludes to Us Weekly that this is likely for the best: "All he wanted was a family and he got it. So good for him. Like I said, I'm sending my best wishes and have no hard feelings."
This Will Be the First Child for Comeau
But the second for Marroquin. No news yet on if the couple plans on tying any knots or exchanging any vows any time soon.
So... What Does the Future Hold?
"We are gonna find out the gender and have a gender reveal planned with Linc," Marroquin teased to Us Weekly.
What About the Couple's Future, Though?
"We have a solid plan of when she is coming to Delaware," Javi also said, hinting that the two will finally live in the same state soon. "As of now we’re enjoying this first one before we even think of anymore kids."
Will Javi and Lauren Actually Last?
For the sake of their impending child, we hope so. But let's be honest: History may tell us otherwise.
