Over the weekend, a 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? feud broke out between two stars of the yet-to-air season.
Even some of the meaner fans were horrified when Ashley Martson told Nicole Nafziger that Azan will never really love her.
Those words cut deep, though both women ended up walking back some of their words by deleting comments.
Now, Ashley is pleading for forgiveness and explaining why she said what she said — though she knows that there’s no excuse.
Nicole has accepted her apology and, speaking to In Touch Weekly, explained that choice to her own fans and followers.

Ashley is SO sorry, you guys
After she exploded and said vicious things to Nicole, Ashley is begging for forgiveness
It started with some simple shade
“They aren’t very good at keeping secrets before the season starts,” Nicole commented under a post by 90 Day Fiance blogger John Yates. She was referring to Ashley and Jay and how much of their drama spills into the public and makes headlines.
Ashley flipped out
“Maybe if your husband was around you would get sick of his s–t and post out of frustration,†Ashley snapped. She then pointed out that “this has nothing to do with the season that’s about to air.” The recent cheating drama with Jay is too recent to be part of Happily Ever After?
These are NOT okay things to say
Ashley got personal and went for the jugular: “You are the laughing joke of TLC, everyone knows he doesn’t want you and that’s why he keeps getting denied to come here. So don’t even go there.”
But it’s all good
As we previously reported, Ashley and Nicole made nice after their feud. But apparently, that wasn’t enough. …
Ashley has apologized yet again, this time very publicly
In a series of short Instagram videos, Ashley expressed her remorse. “Hey, guys,” she begins. “I just wanted to make a quick video to let you know that if I’ve insulted anyone or hurt anybody or was mean to anybody for no reason that I apologize.”
She has no excuse, but she does offer an explanation
“I’ve just been going through a lot,” Ashley understates. “And I know it’s not an excuse to act the way that I’ve acted or be mean,â€Â
And she knows who she hurt in the process
Ashley affirms: “I apologized to Nicole.”
She knows that she hurt more than one person
“It’s been a really rough week,” she adds. “And I’m really sorry for anybody that I’ve hurt and offended.â€Â
She promises that she’s normally much kinder
“It’s really not who I am,” Ashley emphasizes. “And I don’t know why I stooped to that level to act like that.”
Her apology broadens
“So sorry to my fans, sorry to my haters, and sorry to my cast members,” Ashley expresses. “That’s all I can really say. I’m sure you guys hate me and that’s fine because I deserve it.”
There are things that fans do not know
“Guys I’m trying,” she pleads. “I’m human. I wish I could say what’s going on but I can’t.”
We already know SOME of it
One, she accuses Jay of cheating on her … again. Two, a woman claiming to be Jay’s side piece took to Instagram to announce that he knocked her up and that she’s due in October. Three, Ashley now has to undergo a divorce and, potentially, Jay’s deportation.
Some will be revealed on 90 Day Fiance!
“When you all see the truth you may sympathize with me a little more,” Ashley suggests. “Please watch the show.”
She knows that she did wrong
“In no way were my actions excusable,” she emphasizes. “But I hope it better explains why I acted like an idiot. My actions yesterday were wrong,â€Â
She’s especially sorry to her castmates
“I don’t like to go after cast as we are all in the same boat,” Ashley expresses. “I didn’t mean to hurt @alwayssnicole and I feel terrible for the mean things I said.”
Ashley added more in a separate statement
“I DM’d to her immediately to fix it,†Ashley announces. “She was not only kind enough to excepts my apology but she also helps me get through a devastating time.”
Nicole helped Ashley to understand the underlying issues
“I lashed out because I’m so hurt and unhappy with my own life,” Ashley confirms. “Not because anything Nicole did.”
Our takeaway from all of that?
It appears that at least some of this may have come up on their season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? We doubt that cameras followed Jay around to watch him do some extramarital boning, but they may have had marital problems that had nothing to do with cheating (or their fraud scandal). We’ll find out soon enough.
And Nicole had more to say, publicly
“I forgave [Ashley] because I understand what she’s going through,” Nicole tells In Touch Weekly.
She gets where Ashley is coming from
“She’s hurt and everyone keeps saying bad things to her,” Nicole acknowledges. “She’s on the defense and I can’t blame her for that.”
Her hurtful insults didn’t really sting too much
“What she said to me isn’t something new,†Nicole admits. “I’ve heard it millions of times from the same people trying to defend me.” That is so sad!
The forgiveness was instantaneous
“I forgave her the moment she made the comment,” Nicole notes. “I’m sorry to her that she thought I was trying to throw shade.”
Nicole has a helpful personal policy
“I don’t speak bad to my cast members,” she explains. “Because I know what it’s like to be on the show”
She’s never going to assume the worst
“No one knows what’s truly happening off the screen,” she notes. “Love to all 90DF cast members even if I haven’t met them.”
Well that’s settled!
Wouldn’t it be something if Nicole and Ashley start a real friendship after this? They’ve both had their ups and downs on the show, but we’re rooting for both of them.
