Generally, when fans get worked up about a social media post from Anna Duggar, the uproar has something to do with her widely-hated husband, Josh Duggar.
Fans think Anna should divorce Josh , but she seems to have no interest in doing so.
And thus, the comments section on her Instagram page frequently devolves into a war zone.
Recently, however, something astonishing happened.
In her latest pics, it looks as though Anna has lost a ton of weight.
Fans have been singing her praises — but they’ve also been reading way too much into what this body transformation might mean.
Take a look:
Slimmed Down Here’s a photo that recently appeared on Anna’s Instagram page. As you can see, she’s looking very trim these days.
Unrecognizable! This pic was posted on Jana Duggar’s page earlier this week. Fans declared that Anna was downright unrecognizable.
A Gradual Process Anna appears to have lost a fair bit of weight, obviously. But it seems that she did so naturally, and in a gradual, healthy way.
Widespread Shock Regardless, some fans were flat-out stunned by how quickly Anna shed the pounds.
Motivated Mom “Anna, you’re looking gorgeous! I can’t believe she has five kids,” commented one fan.
Doppelganger Anna? “I thought that was a relative of Anna’s. Looks like her but also doesn’t,” commented another.
Height and Weight “Anna is tall and she looks different in this pic!” a third remarked.
Disbelief “Why does this not look like Anna?! Haha!! She looks like a high schooler! Not a bad thing at all,” said another commenter who was in utter disbelief of Anna’s most recent photo.
Backhanded Remarks (TLC) As usual in these situations, some fans got a bit insulting in their attempts to compliment Anna.
Yikes! “Anna that doesn’t even look like you! You look great,” read one cringey comment.
Leading By Example Other fans were downright inspired by Anna’s ability to shed the pounds, and they decided to take up her workout regimen.
Walk 50 Miles In Her Shoes “Anna looks like she’s slimmed down from all that walking. I should start the 50-mile challenge!” one commenter remarked.
Walking to Weight Loss And what is the 50 mile challenge? Well, as Anna describes it, she resolved in February to start walking 50 miles a month.
Late Resolution “Several of our friends made New Year’s resolutions for fitness, started some kind of diet and decided to try to make some changes in the new year!” Anna wrote on Instagram.
Better Late Than Never “I used the ‘busy mom’ excuse,” she added as an explanation for why she didn’t hop on board in January.
And It’s a Short Month! (Getty) Beginning in February, however, Anna resolved to walk 50 miles each month. She exceeded her goal in her first attempt.
No April Fool (Image Credit: YouTube) Anna kept things going with her “March Through March” initiative, and she’s still working hard in April.
Living Biblically “While I made a noble goal of reading through my Bible this year, I thought I would skip the fitness goals,” Anna admitted in her initial post.
Spirit and Flesh (Getty) “However, seeing the progress of my family & friends has inspired me to join in making a physical change for 2019!” she continued.
Walking Inspiration (Getty) As for why she decided to share her weight loss journey on social media, Anna says she hopes to inspire others, and confesses, “The accountability will motivate me to keep going and not to quit!”
The Next Goal Here’s hoping someday soon, Anna can drop an excess 220 pounds by kicking Josh to the curb!
