Lady Gaga didn't wear shoes.
Selena Gomez nearly broke down in tears.
And Gigi Hadid made a fool of herself as host.
With the 2016 American Music Awards having come and gone, it's time time to take a minute and relive the most memorable moments from the show. For better or worse...
Oh, No, She Ha-Didn't!
Aside from giving us a terrible Melania Trump impression, Gigi Hadid recycled a very old joke about how the soon-to-be First Lady stole speech material from Michelle Obama.
Who Brought the Kleenex?
Selena Gomez admitted she's been "broken inside" and brought viewers to tears via a heartfelt, raw and honest acceptance speech.
But what else is new, right? Lady Gaga kept it simple (with no shoes, even!) in singing an emotional version of her song "Million Reasons."
Down with Trump!
Green Day, a band which is apparently still around, slammed Donald Trump during its time on stage. After performing "Bang Bang," the trio broke into a chant of "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA."
A Degrassi Reunion
After Nina Dobrev presented Drake with an award, the singer noted: "Me and Nina were on Degrassi together, by the way. We've come a long way, you know? Congratulations on all your success."
If you didn't know what "Side to Side" was really about, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande held very little back in performing in on stage.
Save of the Night!
Teyana Taylor nearly went all Jennifer Lawrence at the event, but she turned a near trip into a sassy strut on Sunday night, prior to informing the audience and viewers: "Y'all ain't see that.
Tyka Nelson accepted a trophy on behalf of her late brother, Prince, saying in the process: "Prince defied the odds. A black teen from Minneapolis with a goal to electrify the world, he had the courage to be different. With his vision [and] God-given talent, he is still one of the world’s most respected and loved artists." Amen.
While presenting, Mark Cuban mentioned how he likely won't be hanging out any time soon with Donald Trump, while Broadway star Idina Menzel said simply "I love you, Hamilton!"
A Sexy Slit
Chrissy Teigen showed off her leg - bigly! - with this revealing dress at the event. What do you think?
Better Than the Actual Kanye
C-host Jay Pharoah slipped into a pair of metaphorical Yeezys to deliver the rant Kanye West likely would have spat had he attended at the AMAs. Fortunately, the controversial appear was not there.
Fifth Harmony Comes in First?
Fifth Harmony was not among the acts we were dying to see leading up to the event. But they SLAYED "That's My Girl."
This was during a commercial for Apple Music. Watch the video above and react in either admiration or disgust.
Bruno Mars is Worth His Weight in 24-Karat Gold
He opened the show with a performance of "24K Magic." And, no surprise here, he was AMAZING.
