Well, that was fast,
Just days after Amber Portwood dramatically quit Teen Mom OG , the mother of two has reportedly made it clear that she would very much like to remain on the show that made her famous.
Of course, it’s possible that her former bosses might not be so eager to give her a second chance.
On Monday night’s reunion show, Amber refused to continue filming, informing crew members that she felt it was time to “separate” herself from the series that made her famous.
She may have realized too late, however, that she’s not quite ready to separate herself from her six-figure salary.
Take a look:
Amber’s Anger (MTV) Amber has always had a short temper, but lately, she’s had an even lower tolerance for others than usual.
Lashing Out Amber has directed her anger at her bosses, the crew that makes Teen Mom tick, and even the fans that have made the show such a success.
Crying Wolf? (MTV) Throughout the show’s latest season, Amber has repeatedly taken to Twitter to complain that she’s being portrayed inaccurately. Several times she stated she would not be filming another season.
Trouble From the Start Amber arrived at this year’s reunion in a combative mood.
Sending a Message (MTV) She showed up late wearing a shirt that read, “Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come.”
Making It Clear As though her disdain for the proceedings wasn’t evident enough, Amber raised two middle fingers in the air as she entered the studio.
Pointing the Finger (Getty) Amber proceeded to blame the show and its producers for her struggles with depression.
Making It Official “I think I should separate myself from the show,” she told her producers at one point.
Doubling Down “I don’t feel like this is right for my life anymore,” she continued.
Truly Done “You want a certain story that I don’t want to give you anymore,” Amber added. “I feel like it’s depressing to be on the show.”
Negotiations When producers attempted to convince Amber to reconsider, she had some strong words for her bosses.
Amber’s Rant (WEtv) “I don’t care! How about that! I don’t f–king care. This is my life that you guys plaster all over television. I’m not going to film right now,” Portwood raved.
Time to Think “I need time to f–king think. If you guys need to do what you need to do on your end, then do it. I’m done,” Amber went on.
A Repeated Theme This is not the first time that Amber has made it quite clear that she’s not pleased with the manner in which she’s portrayed on the show.
Misrepresented? “The person I am today is not being noticed as much as it should be. This show has ruined my name. This show has not shown who I am as a person,” Amber previously stated.
Letting Loose “They don’t show the funny side of me. They show bad mom, they show all that s**t. They show the struggle, me crying… I’m f**king over it,” Portwood continued.
The 180 (WEtv) But apparently, Amber abruptly changed her mind after quitting and decided she wants to continue making new episodes of Teen Mom OG.
Second Thoughts “She had second thoughts about leaving, she now wants to stay with the MTV family and share her story,” an insider tells Radar Online.
For the Fans … Right “Because of the fans, and her ten year history on the show, she doesn’t want to leave abruptly,” the source continues.
A Lifelong Struggle (Getty) “Depression is a lifelong struggle, but she’s doing really well right now,” the source continues. “She and MTV are like family- there are lots of ups and downs.”
The Decline Unfortunately, for Amber her outburst comes at a time when Teen Mom OG ratings have been steadily declining for years and the show just added two new cast members.
Good Timing Fortunately, it appears MTV isn’t done with her yet.
Saved By the Contract (MTV) “Amber has one year left on her contract, so she may not even need to sign anything to be back on board,” says the insider.
A New Leaf? “She is ready to resume filming,” the source concludes. We’ll see how long that lasts.
