Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that Season 7 will be the last, saying: "Next year we are going all out. Leaving nothing on the table. Creating this world in celebration. We are going to handle the end the way we like to handle the important things in our Scandal family: all together, white hats on, gladiators running full speed over a cliff."

2. The Return of Roseanne!

Yup, this is happening. Roseanne Barr and John Goodman are on board for an eight-episode reboot of the sitcom.

3. And the Return of Jimmy Kimmel!

The comedian will once again host the Oscars in 2018.

4. Under the Sea, On the Air

Under the Sea, On the Air
The network is planning The Wonderful World of Disney: The Little Mermaid Live!, which is described as a "live action/animation hybrid television experience." The event will air on October 3.

5. A Dancing with the Stars Spinoff is on the Way

A Dancing with the Stars Spinoff is on the Way
Titled "Dancing with the Stars," it will feature both celebrity kids and kids of celebrities and pair them up with young pro dancers to perform choreographed ballroom routines for a panel of expert judges.

6. And So Is One for The Bachelor

And So Is One for The Bachelor
The Bachelor Winter Games is actually on the way. For real. It will air opposite NBC’s coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics and it will feature Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants thrown together in a snow-covered ski resort to compete in a series of winter-themed athletic challenges, "including the toughest sport of all — love," per ABC. Amazing.

7. Once Upon a Time Season 7 Scoop

First, it is on the move. The drama will air on Fridays this fall. Second, this is how ABC describes what viewers can expect to see from a VERY different show: "After six seasons, the residents of the Enchanted Forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) join forces with a grown-up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, fairy tale characters new and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined."

It's true: American Idol will debut in 2018 on ABC. No premiere date has been set yet.

9. A Last Man Standing Scandal

A Last Man Standing Scandal
No, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey, insisted on a conference call, this Tim Allen sitcom was not canceled due to the star's political leanings. "Last Man Standing was a challenging one for me, because it was a steady performer in the ratings," she said. "But once we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Friday, that was where we landed."

10. Quantico is Coming Back!

For a third season. It will have fewer than 22 episodes and a new showrunner, but hey: good news!
