Way back when, many of the Teen Mom stars you’ve grown to know and (sort of) love started out on 16 and Pregnant.
But what about those who did not make the cut for Teen Mom… or Teen Mom 2… or Teen Mom 3?
What ever happened to Summer Rewis, Izabella Tovar, and Nikkole Paulun?
We’ve caught up with a handful of the 16 and Pregnant stars you may have forgotten, along with the ones who are now much older, possibly pregnant again and still in the MTV spotlight:
NIKKOLE PAULUN
The ex-party girl was featured on the fomer MTV series after giving birth to son Lyle as a teenager. These days, the Michigan native is also a parent to a one-year girl and shares parenting stories and tips on her social media profiles.
IZABELLA TOVAR
After welcoming son Enrique with husband Jairo, the couple managed to stay together, welcoming a daughter named Anastazia. The two are married and Tovar graduated from college in May of 2016.
MADDY GODSEY
Poor Maddy got pregnant from a one-night-stand. She is still raising little Aubrey on her own, but now she’s doing it in a brand new house.
AUTUMN CRITTENDON
Ever since giving birth to her son, Drake, Autumn asked fans to donate for her home repairs via a GoFundMe campaign in 2014. Then, in 2015, rumors ran rampant that she was dating another 16 & Pregnant alum… Millina Kacmar.
SUMMER REWIS
Summer is doing especially well. She remained with Peyton’s father, DJ, and they recently welcomed another son, Connor, in the summer of 2016.
VALERIE FAIRMAN
Valerie Fairman, one of the original 16 & Pregnant cast members from 2009, tragically passed away in December 2015. She fought addiction for years, and most tragically at all, leaves behind a daughter, Nevaeh (Heaven spelled backwards).
ASHLEY SALAZAR
16 and Pregnant Season 2 duo Ashley Salazar and Justin Lane, who had their first baby together all those years ago, just welcomed another in January 2017! Baby Phoenix arrived ahead of his January 28 due date by three weeks, and joins a seven-year-old sister, Callie.
JENNIFER DEL RIO
Del Rio has been largely out of the spotlight since welcoming twins Josh Jr. and Noah. In 2014, though, she announced via social media that she welcomed another little boy named Sebastian.
JORDAN CASHMYER
Jordan was temporarily homeless prior to giving birth to daughter Genevieve. And she’s still struggling, having checked into rehab last summer. We hope she’s doing better these days.
KRISTINA ROBINSON-HEAD
Kristina is happily married to TJ Head and has her hands full with three boys: Lukas Todd, Tommie Joseph, and Layton Jax.
LEAH MESSER
Leah is actually hanging in there pretty well despite two failed marriages and being a single parent of three young girls, one of whom has special needs. Yes, she’s constantly on the verge of cracking mentally, but most people in her position would be; Messer has also shown considerable signs of improvement within the past year, and gets along well with both ex-husbands.
KAILYN LOWRY
Lowry’s life has been a roller-coaster from the start, but especially within the past year, as her divorce from Javi Marroquin has played out on MTV – and social media, where they passive-aggressively shade one another like it’s their jobs. Hopefully they knock off that nonsense before their son is old enough to feel its impact, or read the comments section.
JENELLE EVANS
Evans needs no introduction. The Carolina Hurricane is about to welcome her third child by three different guys, and continues to be in and our of courtrooms battling for custody of the first two (and fighting off various other criminal charges). She has a LOT of issues, not the least of which is her taste in men. And her propensity for violence. We’ll just stop there.
CHELSEA HOUSKA
As Houska’s father Randy recently put it, she flies so far under the radar that MTV forgets about her. We wouldn’t say that – but only because her fans love and support her so much. Having recently married Cole De Boer, Chelsea is expecting her second child (and Cole’s first) within weeks. Add in adorable daughter Aubrey and they are the cutest family ever. Give it up for The Housk!
AMBER PORTWOOD
Portwood has been through hell and back (or at least prison). After accepting a five-year (!) sentence instead of drug court, she emerged from the state penitentiary sober and reformed in late 2013 after just 16 months behind bars. Controversy still follows her, though; Matt Baier, her fiance, has made headlines for being two decades Amber’s senior – and for a drug-addled past of his own in which he fathered between 7-9 kids (depending on who you believe).
MACI BOOKOUT
Bookout has been as happy and controversy-free as any 16 & Pregnant alum, married to Taylor McKinney, with two additional kids on top of Bentley, her first with Ryan Edwards. Not only does their modern family set a positive example week in and week out, Ryan seems to have turned a corner in his own life too. Miracles do happen.
FARRAH ABRAHAM
Abraham … ugh. Between the cringe-worthy plastic surgery, her erotic novel series, her frozen yogurt store, her endless parenting fails, the infinite wisdom that is her social media presence, oh, that hard core porn career, it’s hard to know where to start other than to call her the most infamous of all the show’s alumni. By far.
CATELYNN LOWELL
Catelynn Lowell married her high school sweetheart, Tyler Baltierra, and six years after they gave up their first child, Carly, for adoption on 16 & Pregnant, they welcomed a second daughter, Nova, who they are raising themselves. Cate has bravely and openly struggled with postpartum depression and other mental health issues.
MACKENZIE MCKEE
Mackenzie Douthit McKee married her high school sweetheart Josh, and they now have three kids in total. However, they recently separated following dueling allegations of infidelity; Mackenzie denies cheating, but admits she was texting another guy and that their marriage was strained by her postpartum depression. It’s unclear if she and Josh will reconcile; McKee has been accused by her husband of manipulating drama for the sake of remaining relevant.
BRIANA DEJESUS
Briana, whose storyline was largely devoted to her decision to parent Nova while her sister, Brittany, aborted her own teenage pregnancy, has kept herself in the spotlight with an appearance on VH1’s Family Therapy With Dr. Jenn, and by undergoing a Brazilian butt lifts and even a labiaplasty as documented on Dr. Miami’s Snapchat account (as were Kailyn Lowry’s).
ALEX SEKELLA
Alex Sekella has taken a more low-key approach to life since her 15 minutes of fame – and her tumultuous romance with Matt McCann (pictured) – ended. The dancer and her daughter, Arabella, still live in Pennsylvania, and she now has a full-time office job at a financial institution. She’s also settling down with boyfriend Tim Peters, whom she’s been dating since 2015.
KATIE YEAGER
Katie has kept a low profile since her stints on 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom 3, working at an inpatient treatment center for recovering addicts and raising her daughter Molli, now 5, in Wyoming. She and Joey Maes (pictured) are no longer together, but she’s in a new relationship and seems really happy.
