Just when we thought the trend of stolen diaries might be coming to a halt, one of Prince Charles‘ staff members sells his deep, dark secrets to the British papers.
Charles is seeking a ruling that the Mail on Sunday newspaper breached his rights by reporting extracts of a private diary in which he described some Chinese officials as “appalling old waxworks.” That entry was part of Charles’ reflections on the end of British colonial rule in Hong Kong in 1997.
Apparently the diaries were copied by a former staffer and given to the newspaper. Isn’t that so crazy?!
We didn’t realize that people could actually be that sneaky. Up until now, we just thought that diaries were lost or stolen as result of being coked out at Hiro or throwing them in with your porn stash and then not paying the storage bill.
