Another One Bites The Dust

Laura Schroff, the associate publisher of PEOPLE StyleWatch, is jumping ship!

And as we try—but FAIL—to suppress the urge to CAPITALIZE words AT random (just like PEOPLE!) we can’t help but FEEL sad that Laura has decided to MOVE to Florida—for PERSONAL reasons, that presumably include GOLFING and high-waisted PANTS.

Farewell, LAURA. We’ll always remember you FOR doing whatever it is ASSOCIATE publishers do at In Style, Teen People and StyleWatch.

I am very sad to announce that Laura Schroff, associate publisher of
PEOPLE StyleWatch, has decided to retire.

A veteran of PEOPLE and three Time Inc. launches (In Style, Teen
People and StyleWatch), Laura has been an integral part of the
phenomenal success of the StyleWatch brand. After almost 17 years at
Time Inc., and having retired once before in 2000, she returned in
2002 for the opportunity to work on the StyleWatch launch.

Now that StyleWatch is well on its way and is part of the Style
Collection, Laura has decided the time is right to make a lifestyle
change and move to Florida to be closer to her family. This time she
means it!

On a personal note, after working with Laura for the past 20 years I
will miss her greatly, but look forward to sharing in the many joys
from the next chapter of her life. I want to thank her for all
she’s done to help every brand she worked on reach its fullest
potential.

Laura will oversee the smooth transition of business and will be here
thru the August issue. Her last day is Friday, June 29th. Please join
me in thanking Laura for all she’s done at PEOPLE and StyleWatch and
wishing her the happiness and success she deserves.
