Even though she canceled all interviews and appearances to promo The Simple Life, rumor has it Paris Hilton will make a cameo on this week’s Saturday Night Live, hosted by the Rev. Al Sharpton with musical guest Pink. The number of possible skits is endless.

And while we’re on the subject of anorexic socialites, Paris and BFF Nicole Richie may find themselves asked to star in a sequel. With the ratings blowing away expectations (more than 13 million viewers for The Simple Life‘s first two episodes), execs are looking to manufacture cash with their farm country success. And all parties seem to be pleased with the show’s course so far, including the Hiltons.
Fox’s Mike Darnell says Hilton and Richie “both like the show very much, as did the whole [Hilton] family. They seem very, very happy with the show itself and how the girls come across.” Which is to say, Rick and Kathy are perfectly fine having raised a little girl who values Lacoste over labor.

Michael Jackson’s people are shopping around a televised Jacko defense to the networks, specifically Fox, which aired Martin Bashir’s piece on Jackson. The special would include testimonials by celebrity friends and Jackson’s family members. We’d watch it for two reasons: the Neverland tour and to see what the hell LaToya is looking like these days.
