We know Kalinda is leaving the series, but did The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 8 just set that into motion for us?
Maybe.
It’s pretty ballsy of Kalinda to go up against Lemond Bishop, but that’s exactly what she did when he asked her to plant a white card on Lana Delaney. Kalinda couldn’t do it because she’s developing feelings for Lana, much to Cary’s dismay.
Fans are lamenting the fact that she’s leaving and many are trying to figure out how and why she’ll be written out of the show. We might have our answer because Bishop isn’t a man to mess with.
Cary might be a great attorney, but he’s a terrible witness. He decides he wants to take the stand in his own defense so his team brings in Viola (guest star Rita Wilson) to cross-examine him. He buckles under pressure, which prompts him to violate the rule keeping him away from Kalinda.
All he wants is to be with her, and all he wants is for her to know that’s all he wants. But that isn’t what SHE wants. Poor Cary.
Alicia’s campaign for States Attorney is full speed ahead as Eli and Elfman have her on board with their plan to make her over. After holding a focus group and showing her just how easily the public’s opinion can be swayed, she’s ready to do whatever they say to make sure people like her enough to vote for her.
While Alicia didn’t win her rape case against Canning, she did get what her client wanted. There’s something to be said for that, but it’s always a little unsettling when TV shows appear to pay lip service to a topic as serious as rape. Despite that, this was still a pretty solid episode.
There are two episodes left until the mid-season finale. Be sure to watch The Good Wife online to get all caught up!
