Rowan Pope is not a man to be trifled with. That much is clear after Scandal Season 4 Episode 8. I mean, if it wasn’t clear the other 240203 times people have tried trifling with him.

Fitz, Olivia, and Jake weren’t able to stop him, and now he’s in the wind. Or he wants them to think he’s in the wind.

Viewers knew this episode of Scandal would focus heavily on the love triangle between Fitz, Olivia, and Jake, and it did, but it did so in a way that made Olivia’s two relationships seem comical next to the gravity of the situation with her father.

They needed a plan and the guys spent the majority of the time locked in a pissing contest trying to make themselves look good for Olivia.

Jake wanted to kill Rowan. Fitz wanted to keep him alive and put him in prison.

They tried things Fitz’ way so Olivia didn’t have to lose her father, and the end result is that they should’ve done things Jake’s way. Oh well, what can you do, right?

Somehow, Rowan smelled a rat and knew they were coming for him. He assembled his own tactical team to take out the President’s tactical team and then drove off in a limo after telling Olivia she would hate the world without him in it.

Maybe she will.

Andrew Nichols is working with Lizzie North and Lizzie North is working with Kubiak which means she’s involved somehow with whomever it was who followed Olivia taking those photos.

The plot…thickens!

Of course, Nichols is also diddling the FLOTUS. Why can’t Mellie have nice things!?!?

We’ll have to watch Scandal online to see how this shakes out on the winter finale.
