It’s been over two and a half decades and The Simpsons still manages to bring the funny. This week’s installment, The Simpsons Season 26 Episode 2, again focused on fathers and children, this time centering on Homer and Bart.
What will wreck a relationship faster: a broccoli sit-off or five kickers on a Fantasy Football team?
Homer doesn’t often stick to his guns where Bart is concerned, but the one battle he chooses to fight is over broccoli. Bart is not the kind of kid who can be strong-armed into anything.
He is the very epitome of stubborn. Refusing to succumb to his father’s demands ends up costing Bart the opportunity to watch Martin beat up Nelson.
It also costs Homer the chance to choose his own Fantasy Football league. He opts instead to leave the selection up to Marge, to hilarious results.
First of all, she chooses 5 kickers for the team. No football team, not even a fantasy team, needs 5 kickers. She does, however, manage to beat Moe when one of those kickers makes an 85 yard field goal.
We’re sure the laces were out.
