Two of the most evil parents in television history are back! Klaus and Elijah learned that both Mikael and Esther are alive and kicking on The Originals Season 2 Episode 2.
For Klaus there is just one question: Which of their parents should they kill first?
After Klaus learns that a witch named Cassie is creating a werewolf army by giving them all moonlight rings, he ventures to the cemetery to meet with the teenager. What he finds there disturbs him greatly.
If you watch The Originals online, you know how disconcerting it is to see Esther in another witch’s body. During the course of conversation, over chamomile tea, which Klaus despises, he comes to realize that the witch isn’t just controlled by his mother.
She IS his mother.
Elijah, meanwhile, has a run-in with Mikael in a bar and is nearly taken out by the White Oak stake which he sought when he and Marcel arrive at Rousseau’s in time to save Davina from a werewolf attack.
An attack planned by Cassie during which both Davina and Koleb were injured. Koleb seems to be planning to turn against his mother.
He likes living. His mother does not like that he’s living even though she created him. It’s sort of in his best interest to align himself to his brothers who would see their family continue. Here’s hoping he does that.
But here’s hoping he does not become a mentor for Marcel’s vampire community.
As we saw in flashbacks, Kol isn’t exactly the most stable vampire in the family. He, like Damon, revels in the kill and the bloodlust. He leaves bodies in his wake and doesn’t really care who knows about him. He’s not careful.
That’s why Klaus had to keep daggering him.
While Klaus and Elijah were busy meeting their parents, Hayley was busy reuniting with her wolfpack. They need a queen and she and Klaus need their loyalty.
So far, so good.
