David Rosen made a name for himself on Scandal Season 4 Episode 3, but he did so by blackmailing a judge who later killed himself. (Or did he!?!)
The win which was secured by David’s blackmail afforded him a place inside the bubble of power held by the White House, but is that really a place David wants to be? And if so, at what cost?
David has once again dipped into the B613 files Jake gave him in order to take down the superspy organization. The more frequently he enters that storage unit, the more rapidly he loses himself to the desire for power.
Absolute power does corrupt absolutely, after all.
It’s not a way Gladiators want to see David Rosen behave when we watch Scandal online. We want our White Hat!
Hopefully he’ll find a way to work against the shady government corruption so rampant in this political drama and come out victorious instead of selling his soul for the greater good.
Eventually one of these blackmail targets is going to come after him, and what will he have then? Not even his name, the only one he’ll ever have in this life.
Speaking of blackmail and corruption, Cyrus Beene has either fallen for the ol’ prostitute-in-a-bar routine or he’s ahead of the game and playing Liz against herself somehow. It’s hard to say just what’s going on there, but when it does come out, it’s going to be good and juicy.
(We’re talking about the story, okay?)
Episode winner award goes to Abby! And Quinn!
Abby called THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES out for not knowing her name. She spoke assertively and directly but with deference to his power. HIGH FIVES!
Quinn, on the other hand, put Huck and Olivia in their places when they didn’t notice she’d disappeared for an entire day. That’s how mistakes happen. That’s how Harrison died. No one noticed when he was getting involved in his own things.
Overall, this wasn’t the most exciting hour, but it did give us glimpses of each character. Every single one of them. And for that, this installment gets high marks from me.
